Brett Favre the latest dongtime texter

N.F.L. Security is trying to determine the veracity of the claims, including whether the photos and messages were sent by Favre and not somebody impersonating him. Deadspin reported that a man said to be Favre contacted Sterger on MySpace and began leaving her voice mail messages.

"Send me a text. Love to see you tonight," one voice mail message said.

Also at issue is another Deadspin article that raised the question of whether a member of the Jets public relations staff acted as an intermediary in Favre’s attempts to contact Sterger.

Hard to believe that Brett Favre would need to contact the girl in that manner. He is Brett Favre, he doesn't need to contact a woman using Myspace. But I guess anything is possible.

So many more one liners should be coming out of this deal, I'm disappointed in you guys. Add some more.

Just another case of Brett trying to force it in there and getting intercepted

This is why Brett wanted to leave NY, plus he heard something about the Vikings, women, and a boat ride

    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
    • Cos he looks much better?
