TAMU fans on Shemar Stewart

I would like to see this “time to pressure” stat ranking that is mentioned here.  I looked around and couldn’t find it,  If anyone has it please post.  I don’t want anything to do with SS as the pick.  He wasn’t even the best pass rusher on his team.

This edge class is just weird.

EZ & Princely are leaps and bounds ahead of Mykel, Shemar, etc. from a pass rushing perspective.

If Graham or Walker aren’t there, I really don’t know who I’d go for. WJ and Barron look more appetizing by the day.

What do you make of him apparently ranking #1 in FBS in time to first pressure?

Watch him play. Watch how many times he gets around a single block and then just not even coming close to actually getting a sack. I mean NOT EVEN CLOSE. It's like watching a really athletic blind man just flailing.

My order of (realistic) preference at #8:

1. Mason Graham

2. Jalon Walker

3. Jihaad Campbell

4. Tyler Warren

5. Mykel Williams

There's an outside chance that Graham falls to us, but it's unlikely. I hope we don't have it in our heads to just take an EDGE no matter what because if Graham doesn't fall and for some reason Walker isn't there the BPA isn't going to be one of the other edge rushers.

I'd much rather add Jihaad Campbell and get that stud ILB we've been lacking or even just go offense with Warren than reach for Mykel, Pierce or Stewart at #8.

Even if we trade down to around the 12-15 range I feel like Campbell or Warren (or even one of the safeties) would be the better pick if Walker goes off the board.

There's plenty of depth at EDGE in this class; absolutely no reason to box ourselves in to taking one in the 1st if the value isn't there

Oh wee mayne...

I really hope we stay away from this workout warrior.

He was there for the App State game I thought? Watching their line of 5 stars get destroyed time and time again may be the pinnacle of my experience as a college football fan solely because it is set up to never happen again.

It’s a shame.

that said, this guy doesn’t have what you want at 8. If we were picking 29th, I’d say go for it.

Having said all of that, it's a damn shame Mike Green has the off-field concerns because he would be a slam dunk choice at #8, IMO.

He might be a slam dunk to be the first guy out of this draft class to end up in prison. LOL

Honestly take Warren or trade back.

Gotta be Warren. I know people compare him to Pittsburgh that’s lazy. Warren is possibly even better of a prospect than Brock who came out last year.

Give me the best tight end and one of the best receivers in one pick, all day.

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
