In the course of one day, we've had a blurb from Adam Schefter suggesting that the Panthers might be looking for a new offensive coordinator and this item from Gantt suggesting that the defensive coordinator spot might not change.

Pretty sure Schefter has no clue what he's talking about, but I'll still say this...

If the Panther braintrust were to let Jeff Davidson walk and extend Mike Trgovac, I'd declare this team's management completely ass-backwards and jump on the "Fire Fox" bandwagon with both feet.

If this were to happen I would just stop watching the Panthers till a new coach was in place. No need to wast my time with teams putting up 30+ on us and the Panthers running the clock out with draw plays.

The funny part is, all the Trgovac haters use Jack Del Rio as their example of what a DC should be. So if Trgo is such a doofus, why would the great Del Rio want to hire him?

Is it possible that he's a good football coach?

Gantt, the guy's had one of the best DEs in football, an all pro MLB, a decently talented secondary, and about half of these starters are first rounders, and we give up 30+ points a game to the other team.

He sucks. Even a 5 year old can see he sucks.

if that happens you won't be the only one, and I've always supported Fox even through some of the tougher years because of what we were like before him, but if he did that, I would say bring in the chin.

Of course this is all a big IF atm because nothing had happened.

The fan revolt would be mighty.

Realistically, given that Fox just, for all intents and purposes, allowed Davidson to pick his QB coach, it's hard to imagine Davidson departing.

Still, there's a part of me that "never says never" when it comes to this team :(

I wouldn't revolt. I think Trgovac is a lot better than he's given credit for being on these boards. I also think he's going to be somewhere else next year, because I think that he's no longer as effective working with Fox as he once was. That's similar to the Henning situation a couple of years ago--Fox has gotten all he can out of Trgo and needs new blood in that position.

I can totally see Trgo in Jacksonville, BTW.

Maybe the staff moving is a sign there's a soon-to-be new HC, and Fox would be demoted to DC with Trgovac as the LBC. Wouldn't be the strangest thing, and the FO is secretive enough to not let anyone know until it's announced.

      You should because before the preseason fiasco and the start of the season fiasco, all the reports, including Frank’s responses, were that Fitterer and Reich were in lock step. Remember the press conference where Fitterer talked about both he and Frank saying who they wanted before and after the draft process and that they both picked Young and it was glorious? People got hung up on Tepper saying the point guard analogy in April when Brown was interviewed by a Panthers reporter describing how a QB needs to be a point guard in huge detail. That was in February. I think Tepper was just parroting Brown to make himself look like he knew what he was doing. Mrs. Tepper hugging Bryce always overshadowed CJ saying how he called her Mama Tepp. We fuged up as a team, probably more so because Fitterer always said he had Young as his #1 the year before, probably because we looked at all the QBs that year as well. Reich’s love for CJ started when he got on the hot seats for frankly doing a horrific job. He's been in the league a long time and has a lot of media friends and that was a face saving CYA which we know well with many years of Hurney. Still amazing to think how much better the team was under Rhule/Hurney before Fitterer got any control when Rhule was on the hot seat.

      I loved jStew but let’s not forget he was almost always held out from practice  due to some nagging injuries
