So how bad is our offense?

Here are a few of the worst in NFL history (SuperBowl Era)

The number 1 worst offense in NFL history goes to none other than the Bucs. The '77 Bucs scored 7-8 points a game. The '76 Bucs scored almost 9. The 1990 Patriots sit at #13 (11.3 points per game); the 1972 Houston Oilers are #17 (11.7 points per game)

Right now we average 11.7 ppg. So if we keep this average, we will rank in the top 20 worst offenses of all time. We may end up in the top 10 looking at the rest of our schedule.

The ineffectiveness that is Davidson is Epic. I have yet to even see a 4 WR set this year.

The whole game consists of a Single back 3WR, Single back 2 WR, and I-Form 2WR. Thats it, 3 Formations the whole season.

Gary Barnidge no catches in 7 games? The guy averaged 20.2 YPC last year and we can't get him the ball...really? The Rams were run blitzing on a lot of 1st down plays, leaving open space in the middle of the field but Davidson prefers to run right into it.

Davidson is a DC's dream, no need to make any adjustments at all. 14.4 1st downs pg is just awful and last in the league. This team has talented players, but Davidson is so predictable running these same old plays, out of the same tired ass sets and it just aint working.

since 2001 only 1 team has gone under 200 points...the rams last year.

funny thing, though. from 1990-2000 there were 8 teams to go under 200 points.

meanwhile in the 90s there were 30 teams to go over 400 and but in the last 10 years 59 teams have gone over 400.

what does this mean? we are in an era that it is incredibly hard to have a really bad offense, but somehow we managed. we very well could have one of the worst offenses of all times. stats alone won't be enough to let people know how bad this team is.

    • I think where they would be picked if redrafted before both classes have played enough football to really tell.  Baker literally looked like a washout with us after Cleveland gave up on him, then turned world beater with the Rams, got a prove it deal with the Bucs and has looked awesome ever since. Asking where Ward would’ve went had he went in ‘24 is just stupid.  I’m no GM, but I wouldn’t have taken Williams #1 either.  I would’ve taken Joe Milton way higher than he went.  I think Shadeur should’ve been a first round pick this year.  Point being, opinions are like buttholes, everybody has one.  It’s my opinion that Ward has that “something special.”  I get that feeling that he’ll be an even better pro than he was a collegiate QB because of whatever that quality is.  I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people, especially being such an under appreciated first overall pick.
    • Where do we get our T-shirts and hats? Pretty sure this is the first championship ever in professional basketball or football in Charlotte!
    • Nice turnaround for Kon.  I’m still a little worried about his ability to create for himself and others, but it was SL.  Come regular season, he will playing a much different role and shots will be there for him.  He showed some reason for hope - and not just him, but the whole squad.  I suppose for the first time ever, we have drafted and acquired enough young talent that we actually not only competed for once, but won the whole thing in summer league.     Kon, Simpson, and Sims made all the difference.  Almost every year prior I felt we always struggled because we usually didn’t have a floor general/real PG to get us into offense.  This was such a breath of fresh air.  And look at us!  We finally are champions!😂
