On top of the fine, it should have been a defensive penalty for hitting a defenseless receiver and the game should have been extended an extra play. Instead, Smith got the penalty and the game ended.

I doubt he will get fined. On a QB sneak the QB becomes a runner and helmet to helmet is a legal hit. It was cheap but within the rules.

Clausen got hit in the head twice on that play...2nd one was malicious. i was glad to Smith go after they guy. Great to see he got fired up about the QB. Might do the team some good.

Hope they do nto bring Clausen back too fast like they did with Matt. Also hope the Bucs player gets a suspension.

as much of a douche as talib is, i put more blame on the play caller than anyone on the field. one QB sneak was ok...if it doesn't work, try something else. a second one is not only predictable, it's putting the QB at greater risk for injury.

fox/davidson have themselves to blame for this predicament.

Talib had time after clausen was stopped to run halfway across the field and spear him. It's not a defenseless receiver, it was just unnecessary roughness, AND a late hit. Either could have been called.
