Here's why St.Pierre is starting QB

“You hear stories about a guy like Kurt Warner who was stocking shelves. I don’t know what my story’s going to be. Right now it is what it is,” St. Pierre said. “I’m happy for the opportunity. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow.”

LOL "IT IS WHAT IT IS".......

any questions!?

St. Pierre sounds like he's on the fence about whether or not he wants to start... LOL

St. Pierre sounds like he thinks Fox is a retard. He said obviously he thought Tony would get the start.......then when Fox tossed out the Vinny did it, he basically said yo, this ain't the same thing dumb dumb.

I'm happy for St. Pierre. He achieves his dream Sunday. Starting QB. I will feel bad for him once the game starts.

This whole thing is a joke. I love this quote from the article.

“It’s a tough situation. I don’t know how many times this has ever happened, really,” St. Pierre said. “John Fox came up to me on Wednesday and said, ‘Vinny Testaverde did this three years ago.’ I said, ‘Well, Vinny has a little better resume than I do.’

This Franchise has been hampered by Fox's inability to coach/develope QB's or have somebody on his staff who could. Just think how bad this franchise would have been had Delhomme had not worked out.

There isn't a head coach in the league that would start a 3rd string rookie project qb over a vet...regardless or game experience. So all those who went off in the first novel, have no fricking clue when it comes to football.

Matt Moore was our third-string quarterback last year. Should Fox have waited that long to start him over Delhomme, McCown and Feeley?

I realize that he'd been in the league a few years up to that point, but I just think we need to at least see if Pike can play. If I had to guess, he won't even be on the team next year (unless he gets playing time and impresses). St. Pierre certainly won't.

    • Best thread of the offseason. 10/10
    • Yes we are weak at 2C,  I wouldnt say C overall just we have Aho and then 3 guys who should be third Cs.....   If we dont aquire someone I suspect we will finally see Jarvis at center this year.   I see what you mean with Freddie, and I agree to an extent I think we should limit his regular season starts and focus on keeping him healthy for the playoffs.    He has been very good in the post season contrary to what some casuals think we DID not lose because of Freddie....  2.02 GAA and a .907 %  We lost to florida because our small offensive D men couldn't keep the Panthers from parking right in front of him.
    • In theory that would be nice, but i can almost guarantee you no one who will be an upgrade will be available.... much less a "stud"  This is a list of goalies who are free agents in 2026 aka possibly be sold at the deadline..... the only one I see that might help us is a retread in Ned.... (honestly should have never gotten rid of him hes performed admirably in much worse situations since leaving).
