St. Pierre has had the benefit of 7 years of NFL practices, film study and coaching. Pike is a 6th round rookie from a spread offense, Armanti is FBS QB who was drafted to be a WR. Not sure how either of these guys are automatically more qualified than St. Pierre?

Again, I don't think any of these guys are a "good" option - but St. Pierre may be the lesser of the evils.

that 7 years of NFL practices, film study, and coaching......never got him past 3rd string and even 40 snaps (including preseason). That speaks volumes. His lack of preseason looks tells a lot.

That is an average of 5 snaps a season he was given. Again, he had 4 preseason games each year?!?

agreed 100%.

you can look at pike's inexperience and that he's only been in the league this year and say, "it makes sesne that he doesn't start" but you look at BSP and see that he has been in the league as long as he has and has only thrown 5 passes? he's never been more than 3rd string? there's got to be a reason for this, but all fox can see is "here's a guy that isn't a rookie. thank God."

It occurred to me why Gantt might be making sense all the sudden...

This season has become Coach vs. Ownership. That's very clear.

Ergo, the Panther's media relations department probably told him to take the gloves off on Fox. Now were getting to see some REAL Darrin Gantt, and not the PC crap he spews to keep his job.

wow this is incredible......never in a million years would I have thought this season would have turned out this bad.......i was so foolish to buy into it all

I knew we weren't making the playoffs, but I didn't think it would be this bad. I don't think anyone did.

In fact, I lol at some of the early predictions which had us at #1 and #2 in our division.

I thought we would be where TB is now.

Seven years of expierence is still seven years. He knows more about NFL football then a a raw rookie who ran a spread offence rookie in Pike.

The fact of the matter is both are going to suck. What diffrence does it make?

Fox took a stay at home dad, with 5 NFL pass attempts, and was able to coach an out of shape guy w/ no clue about what Carolina does up and ready to start in 2 practices.......but he couldn't get Pike ready in 6 months?

Who ever said St Pierre is ready? Just because he's starting doesn't mean he's ready, nor any good...just that Fox is starting him.
