(By Joseph Person, [email protected]) DeAngelo Williams wanted to talk more about his foot than his future.p/The Carolina Panthers tailback, out for the season with a sprained right arch, spoke with reporters Monday for the first time since being placed on injured reserve on Nov. 17. Williams, the Panthers#x92; all-time rushing leader, was reluctant to discuss his impending free agency. But after giving an update on his foot, he said he hopes to remain with the team that drafted him out of Memphis in the first round in 2006.

I hope he doesn't read this forum. Many here are ready to replace him with a guy that had 2 good and 1 decent game that all ended in loses. Amazing....Don't get me wrong, I am happy Goodson is playing well. Did any of you actually watch those games? For 2 of those 3 games the O-line actually opened up holes for him and Stewart to run through. DWill was getting yards earlier in the year out of absolutely nothing. Almost all his gains were cutbacks. For those of you that don't know what a cutback is, it is basically an "oh crap" the middle is clogged so I have to turn on the jets and go outside. Not an easy way to make a living. JStewart found this out the hard way when he got the start and then blamed the OLine.

People here were ready to burn down B of A stadium for all of the free agents we let go this year. Now the best one on our team and one of the best in the NFL is up and you want to let him go because he is 27 for a guy that played good for 2 games and an injury prone power runner?

Were any of you fans back in the Biakabutuka days? He was the second coming of christ to Charlotte and it didn't work out well. I hope Goodson and Stewart work out, but you don't start trading proven elite running backs for rookies.

Williams patiently waited his turn to start in Carolina when he probably deserved to start earlier. The Panthers rewarded him by drafting Stewart in the first round and pretty much slapping DWill in the face. Does DWill pitch a fit or ask to be traded? No, he shows up for work and takes it a step farther by embracing Stewart. Can you name me another running back duo that gets along as well as these two? DWill could have made this miserable for Carolina and Stewart (remember Peppers). Now it is time for him to get paid after everything he has done for us and the consensus here is to trade him for a guy that has 3 decent games. Simply Amazing!!!! Alright, I am off my soap box now...

    • Ya'll.....look at Stafford without his feet set. This is why people in here talk about Bryce not having elite abilities mattering when plays break down. He cannot make these kind of throws with his base not being set.
    • Pretty much going to play each other the same way.  Stop the run let the bad QB try to win the game. It will come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes.
    • From the Charlotte Observer   1. quarterback Bryce Young has yet to earn a road win this season, and the third-year former overall No. 1 pick is 1-15 on the road as a starter for his career — which is tied for the worst record over 16 games in NFL history. 2. The Jets, meanwhile, haven’t won a game yet. But even still it’s tough to pinpoint their identity. 3. They’ve lost four of their six games by a single score — three games by two points, specifically.  4. Quarterback Justin Fields has flashed his propensity for playmaking at times this year — with the exception of his Week 6 performance where he only threw for 45 yards passing — and Breece Hall is a undeniably good lead running back having a solid year statistically.   5. The Jets’ team rankings aren’t too ugly either.     Their defense, specifically. That unit is ninth in third-down conversion rate (36.4%) and 10th in opponent passing yards per game (200.5).   Their Achilles heel to date, it appears, is their turnover margin (-1.2, 31st in the NFL).
