No fair weather fans are left on the huddle, it has been cleansed out. Which we most certainly needed. They'll be back don't worry. We'll see people who haven't posted in years start posting with the Panther's #1 draft pick. That will bring a bunch along. I still wear my panther snow cap and ball cap.

I wear my Panther gear all the time, 4 or 5 days a week. People do say things, but now its more sympathy or disbelief. I have the same reply to whatever is said.."If Im not a fan right now, Im not a fan at all." ..and thats how I see it. I was a fan in '96, thier 1st NFCC game, I was a fan in '01, '03 and now, regardless of the team's record. My name is Justin and Im a Carolina Panthers' fan...

I do say something to every person I see wearing Panther gear, there are a few here & there around VaBeach. Most of the time its something like "It takes a set to be wearing that hat/ shirt." They turn around with this look on their face like 'Whoinnafuk?', that is until they see Im wearing the same team..

This. I give a fist pump to everyone I see wearing Panthers gear. I rock mine atleast twice a week. Cant wear my stuff to work, but I do have nice Panthers colored work shirts.

I live in atl and am the only panthers fan here. Stop being a pussy.

This too. quit being such a puss. If they wanna make fun of you, tell them to shove it. We will see whos laughing when we start kicking everyones ass again.

Feeling very alone on an island right now. Friends, co-workers, neighbors all make fun of me and the Panthers as they root for whomever.

I see no one wearing panther gear in Raleigh. All kinds of ravens, steelers, cowboys and skins fans. I saw ONE guy with a Panther hat at Crazy Fire the other night - wanted to high five five him.

I live in Wilmington, and Panther gear has always been rare. In the south college sports take a huge precedent over pro. People wear college logos 20 to 1 over pro, while in the northeast it is completely opposite.

Another problem is that 95% of the apparel scream redneck...even the stadium's endzones have the nascar type font.

I wore some Panthers gear, just to stand out from all these out of nowhere (band wagon) Atlanta Falcon Fags. And i could give a sh*t less what people say. Gotta take the bad w/the good.

I was at the game yesterday and saw a group of about four or five decked out in Shitbird gear with several rocking Vick jerseys. It's taken a few years but it seems like the Falcons are becoming the bandwagon team we know and love again.

Yep. Just like the Front office and coaching staff will be cleaned out in Jan-May of 2011, the fairweather fans are all but gone. By the time we are 2-14, they'll all have hit the road.

Go Panthers!

I've been a fan since the start, and Im HOPING for 2-14. If the new coach does not draft a QB, at least I know we are getting what that coach wants as far as new players are concerned. I would love to have a few key additions from FA too. CB, OL, DL. I am fully trusting the new staff to do what is right to start winning in Carolina, and to be successful year after year. Not every other year.

I was at the game yesterday and there are still a lot of loyal fans, even if they have been drowned out some by all the negativity.

I'm still very proud to be a Panthers fans. This year has been a disaster, but it has been 2 years in the making and we are only going to go up next year.

The Panthers were 1 of only 4 teams who hadn't had at least one 10 loss season since 2002 before this year. Now only NE and INDY are left.

Funny how they have the best 2 QB's in the game. The upside of this bad year is that hopefully we will have a shot at a guy who could do the same for us.

The Panthers do have major holes to fill, but they have a lot more talent than the 2001 team did.

This year was a perfect storm of injury, inexperience, and lack of commitment from ownership to fielding a good team.

Hopefully injuries will not be as prevalent next year, and the inexperience and lack of commitment from JR certainly won't be.

The Panthers are going to continue to play in one of the best divisions in football over the foreseeable future given the other QB's in the division.

However, this situation is certainly no worse than it seemed in 2002 or 2003 for that matter when we competed against the defending Super Champs (Tampa), Michael Vick (Atlanta), and a New Orleans team that had pretty good talent even with an inconsistent QB with Aaron Brooks.

I for one salute John Fox, wish him well, and look forward to the Panthers being a competitive team next year. Super Bowl Contenders? Maybe not, but we still have a good owner despite this one-yeat abberation, better talent than people would lead you to believe, and a better fan base than we are given credit for.

Go Panthers!!! And draft Andrew Luck!!

Wearing Panther gear when were losing is my favorite time to wear it. Ya alot strangers talk poo or whatever but its better conversation than talking about the weather or whatever. To me I feel more prideful when i wear it during losing seasons and stand out for it. When we are winning everybody dust's of their old sweatshirts and hats and pretend they were diehards the whole time.

Maybe i'm crazy but nows the best time to be proud to wear your gear.

    • I personally think you are trying to talk yourself into circles here... It's ok to say Bryce played incredible the last 5 weeks... I know there are plenty of people on this board who desperately need the doom-and-gloom narrative, but I genuinely question how much NFL QB play some of these people really have watched when they still question him being the unquestioned starter for next year...  Again, that being said, no one is crowning him at all. I think Bryce is one of the best stories going into 2025 bc his season last year was so outlandishly unprecedented. It's totally fair to personally not believe in Bryce. Plenty of sports "journalists" need to write stories, and that's an easy narrative path... But I think that actual people in the know rank Bryce much higher. That's the fun thing about sports... we shall see!
    • Regardless of how we got here, any rational fan should be excited by how well Bryce played down the stretch. Anyone not happy about that level of play either doesn't know what they're looking at, or they're still trying to drive tired narratives. Obviously, Cam had an all-time rookie season, and I'm not putting the two in the same basket yet, but as someone who has watched every snap of Panthers football since the start of the new millennium (Im old), Bryce was playing at a higher level at the end of 2024 than Cam was at the end of 2012 (his 2nd season). Cam continued to develop into MVP form, something Bryce has to prove, but as someone who watched both (and will stan for Cam always), Bryce was playing at a higher level to end year 2 than Cam did.  Go watch the film if you dont believe me. None of that means anything for the future. But the people who said BY9 couldnt play in this league are wrong.   That being said, the only thing that matters is this year. #20 is perfectly fair IMO going into the season. I mean think about it, how would you rank him??!  His in-season turnaround is one of the wildest things I've ever seen... how do you rank a guy who looked like a massive bust in September and by January was consistently playing at a top 10 level? My excitement level is pretty damn high heading into this season. There were throws from the Chiefs game onward where Bryce had Drew Brees levels of anticipation. Im excited to see what he can do with a full deck on offense, something we really never gave Cam. Really hope and expect Bryce to move up this list this season.
    • Not really, the only QB's (other than Anthony Richardson) ranked below him are new to their teams as a placeholder starter or drafted in 2024 or 2025, not a lot of gymnastics to get there. It's not about how many that is, if it's 20, 12, or 2... It means there isn't a QB who's team has committed to them for the long term right now that they have ranked below Bryce. That's not a great thing.
