The team is seeking permission to interview the Carolina Panthers’ head coach, according to an NFL source.

I don't see him in Denver. They are set-up to throw the ball and that isn't Fox football. He will end up in Oakland or Cleveland. I can't imagine any team jumping up and down over Fox. He will end up being the best of what is remaining coach if he gets hired.

Just a question, but since he's under contract what would happen if JR or who ever has to give permission pulled a dick move and was didn't allow Fox to interview? Would never happen but it would be a kind of last funny F you to Fox from Richardson.

The asking if more of a formality and courtesy. No one want to get sued for interference with a contract although that would be unlikely given Fox is out the door.
