What the hiring of our new OC could mean for AE? I'd love to see this kid bloom into a play-maker but our offense needs to have some creativity incorporated. What kind of offenses did he help put together in San Diego? Hopefully they get a plan together for this kid, no sense in waiting around to see what we got for a high 2nd rounder.

Would think that they would use AE some at the very least. Fox was intentionally not using him to get back at the FA.

The key with Armanti is figuring out what he does well right NOW and allowing him to work on the other stuff while using what he's already got to help us out right now.

I expect he'll be a trick play guy at first, maybe a deep threat to try and get a big play just running deep routes, then as he develops probably work him into the slot more.

We'll see... AE is a Marty pick, and a risky one at that. There were people talking about how AE isn't a lock for the roster, but if Marty has any say (which he does) then AE has a spot on this team and you can bet it will be a mandate to get him progressed in his development and involved on our team's plan. It was admitted that he's a project player, and hopefully this project pays off dividends. Am I upset we spent this year's second on him? Yes and no. Yes because poo, that's a high pick...but also no because any pick is a gamble to contribute, especially with our second round pick history. It's no worse than picking shelton or clausen or jarrett, all of which had great potential...AE has the athletic ability and determination to be a contributor, but we'll see. Jarrett and Shelton really didn't set us back much of anything at all, no 2nd rounder ever will. So here's to hoping that a project receiver with a bunch of upside does better than what he did his rookie year...clausen too. Granted neither showed us any glimpses of greatness, bit there's more than what we see that paints the bigger picture.

He wouldn't be the first college QB to develop into a solid NFL WR. That'll be more the WR coach's area than anything. We also have to keep in mind that he played so little with Fox that we don't KNOW how good he is right now, other than that he can't field punts.

      well, players dictating things only works if you have the right collection of players to dictate things.  and in all honesty, not sure if we can answer if we do or don't as fans given......there are no Thomas Davis types around that we know are actually about X and Y (based on years showing it).  Collective team is too new to us to know what these dudes are really about in terms of players carrying the burden of culture.

      Moore can be put in one of the vet spots on IR. No one will be checking for him at the start of the season. But I would be very perturbed if we tried to go all Gettlemagic and stash an obvious talent like Horn on practice squad like we did Butker. If we can get through this year, next year it will be obvious Moore and AT will be gone, starting namely with AT's contract.

      Culture change comes from the top down, not from drafting a 3 and no D guard. I doubt Lamelo is gonna take his cues from this 20yr old kid lol. If Brandon Miller couldn’t change the culture with how good he is and how much he hustles on both ends, Kon Knueppel sure as hell ain’t changing it. Ace Bailey by all accounts is also a great teammate and hard worker, btw, who was drafted by a team he supposedly didn’t want to go to yet he immediately bought in. And he’s got actual length and tools on both ends of the floor. I feel this pick is going to age like milk rather quickly.
