Fox being Fox

PFT: Fox won't commit to a QB

Fox is not yet willing to commit to The Golden Calf of Bristol as the starter in Denver.

Gantt has suggested that, if the Broncos brass want The Golden Calf of Bristol to play, they need to trade Kyle Orton as soon as possible. He may be right. I don't believe it'll happen, but we know how Fox is about quarterbacks. Despite his profession to have loved The Golden Calf of Bristol on Draft Day, I'll believe it when I see it.

If the Broncs do decide they want to trade him - say, to the Panthers - they need to come down on their asking price.

You know, this could be fun to watch from the outside

Sorry. No way in Hades I trade Williams for Orton and a second rounder.

Williams is an impact player. Orton is a journeyman/stopgap. If I'm giving Williams up, I need more than that.

(yes, I know I'm selfish, but you have to be)

For that matter, who would be the guy that Denver wants so badly that they're scared of us taking him and they need to trade up from #2 overall?

    • He was a raw receiver.  NFL average for receivers to come into their own is 3 years.  There is no doubt he has been a disappointment.  No reason to ship him off on his rookie contract.  He has the ability- and he has made some fantastic catches.    Color me 1 that is more than willing to see what he does next season.  Isn't going to cost the team anything to do so.
    • PRO: Bad Bunny will have some fuego latinas dancing for him for entertainment    If not I riot
    • Is Ocho going to run routes for him and catch the ball too? Because that is the only way I can see this helping, but hey at least the dude is trying something because he just saw his stock drop heavily in yr2, from COKER balling in big spots and TMAC winning OROY hitting 1K in his 1st year in the NFL! (Oooooh that felt good typing!) I still think he may be a serviceable WR but honestly DM still needs to keep flooding the WR room with talent imo, so XL better try something and quick. Otherwise he will be another bust and washed out of league in 2-3 years.
