Let's see: Go into the season with two young guys that have less than a year of real experience between them, and a vet QB with deep psychological issues, a history of behavioral issues, the belief that he deserves to be called "elite", and have that guy serving as the mentor to the younger guys?

And again, can we remember that the coach who Young nearly got fired was a teammate of coach Ron Rivera?

Anybody really think Fisher's going to give Rivera a good recommendation on Young? :sosp:

(and this is what, the 50th Vince Young thread this offseason? sheesh)

I don't know catman, I can see the temptation with Young, but look at all the drama around the guy, it's been like a soap ophra with him and the Titan's. I have to agree with D34 and Mr. scot. That's funny mother grabber, that's the only way you would see him there!

passer ratings mean nothing when you play the amount of games he played

he's not coming here, ever. sorry

Not sure I want him either, but the 200 yards per game doesn't really matter playing for Tn. The year that Kerry Collins started every game for them (2008), he only had 5 games over 200 yards passing and they went 13-3. Tn just doesn't pass much at all.

Which means that Young was not a determining factor in many of his wins.

Based on what? Oh I forgot you madden players think these dual threat QB's that do a few tricks in College make it in the NFL. Esp ones with mental issues.

Oh, you mean guys like Vick who was nearly the MVP this season?

I guess guys like Schlereth and Bruschi on NFL Live are also basing their opinion on Madden?

      I agree with OP notion, QBs always get credited for game winning drives even if they do minimal. Just last night Caleb got credited for a GE drive when they basically ran the ball the whole drive and only had to go 36 yards.   And there are drives where Bryce could of had a game winning drive if not for a Legette drop vs Philly or a Chubba fumble vs Tampa

      You are actually, genuinely comparing Bryce to Jimmy fuging Pickles? Jimmy accounted for 3 touchdowns in his 10 starts in 2010. In Bryce’s 10 games post benching last year, he accounted for 20 touchdowns. Jimmy threw three touchdowns in 2010. Three. Bryce has thrown 10 touchdowns through 6 games. He is currently on track to throw for 3300 yards, 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Wtf are we even talking about anymore. I mean seriously

      Tepper? The guy that directs the coaches towards goals that he set for them… that guy. He is the one.    I don’t think he ever was going to be expelled from class, they had him come in for garbage time maybe the 2nd week he was benched.  I will say this. People said he wasn’t under pressure the last part of the year when he did better, but he was fighting for his career and that’s pressure. And he saved his career too. I don’t reject him for those kinds of things I reject him for the physical things. I have always brought it down to he has slim margin for error and has to be perfect. People with the tool set have a little fatter margin for error. Why make it harder on yourself? Got nothing to do with hating him.  I am no statistician but game that margin thing out a lot and see how that works.
