"CBA has no chance..."

Thanks JR.

It'll be interesting to see what changes once the "man behind the curtain" is revealed to be the Big Cat. With that public exposure, which he obviously hates, will that lead to a change? I doubt it... Nothing JR has done so far leads me to believe he is anything other than a stubborn, bullheaded businessman.

it doesn't really have to mention him. it's pretty well known that he is the driving force of the owners and we've seen first hand how he views the players and what they are asking for....even though it's the owners fault that they are in this mess and its them wanting to change the rules.

the longer they hold out, the more this becomes true for me.

the thing is, most owners that are heard from are trying to get this thing finished up quickly and/or feel positive about the way things are going. only things we have heard form richardson is that the players are far apart from what the owners want and are trying to get paid more for working less, when that is just his way of spinning what the owners have done/are trying to do to the players.

In public, where they have to watch their image.

If they were really as concerned when the doors were shut, do you think this would be happening?

JR can't derail this by himself.

eh, I agree JR is like that, but so are the 31 other owners in the NFL. If they didn't have that attitude, they wouldn't own an NFL team.

JR may be leading the charge, but I'd be willing to bet all the owners are completely behind him when it comes to rejecting the 50/50 proposal the NFLPA made.

    • I will admit this- Kon doesn't look or play like a 19 year. Much bigger and filled out than I thought he was. Plus initiate the offense during his best quarter and he did make some good passes for FG attempts.   I watch NBA years ago and was a top 3 fantasy yahoo managers for years. Many times a player had like 30 points, it mostly came from one or 2 hot quarters. The others were 5 and 0, so his 16 point game is normal in that regard.    If Ball, bridges, and Miller allow Kon to be apart of the team, just depends on if he clicks of not. Another generic white guy comp popped in my head........he of hornet lore-Gordon Hayward 15 points 5 rebs 3.5 asst Maybe??
    • Here are a couple of links.   Wish I had seen this before this past weekend as appears they had a big fundraiser event last week. https://sites.google.com/vollminadvisory.com/thewilmingtonarenaproject/home https://www.wwaytv3.com/wilmington-native-leads-push-for-new-multi-use-venue-to-attract-professional-hockey-team/ https://portcitydaily.com/latest-news/2025/07/13/wilmington-nonprofit-fundraising-for-10k-seat-arena-to-lure-pro-ice-hockey-team/ https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61577145613291
    • Especially with no other major sports in the area other than UNCW basketball and soccer. It's a good 2 1/2 hour drive just to catch a collegiate football game. If this new arena were built I would hope it also includes an Adult League - I would join up and time allowing would be more than happy to help coach some youth teams. 😄
