Jim Irsay Passes Away at Age 65

Recommended Posts

Dude had 3 daughters and was supposedly mentoring 1 to be his eventual successor. He planned for the team to stay in the family. Sounds like a recipe for a power vacuum.

With that said, I was never really a fan of him, but I do hope he went peacefully and condolences to his family.

He seemed like a somewhat cool dude, much cooler than Tepper or JR. He did bring Indy a team and a Super Bowl (largely due to timing of getting Manning, but still), but I didn’t think he was a great owner, has had the drug issues, etc. RIP. Wonder if his family will sell his sweet guitar collection

If anything, only getting 1 SB when you had Manning for that long should be a negative on his legacy, just like it was for the Saints to only get 1 with Brees and the Packers to only get 1 each with Favre and Rodgers.

I know it's hard to win a SB, but these are basically 4 of the 10 best QB's of all time and combined to win 4 SB's in a combined 60 seasons worth of being a starting QB for those franchises.

    • exactly good call on your part
    • I’m really having a hard time understanding how this actually went down. -Renfrow expected to make roster as 2nd/3rd string. -Panthers cut Renfrow; Keep Brycen Tremayne, and add UDFA receiver (Dalevon Campbell) to active roster.  -Canales/Morgan say it’s totally up to Hunter whether he wants to come back or not, they would love to have him.    -Renfrow not signed to PS -Panthers trade Adam Thielen -Hunter Renfrow signed to active roster with a raise after an injury to Coker nobody heard about and is likely to start.    Our WR room is now: -Xavier Legette (2024 1st round pick) -Tet McMillan (2025 1st round pick) -Hunter Renfrow (1 year out of the league) -David Moore (Canales’ friend? A guy way past his prime) -Jimmy Horn (Likely a Shi Smith reprint, but has potential 2025 6th round pick, weighs 174 lbs) -Brycen Tremayne (2023 UDFA who was on Washington’s PS for 2 years and caught 1 pass for -2 yards and averaged 300 yards per year at Stanford) -Dalevon Campbell (2025 UDFA had a good preseason but had 1463 yards and 3 TDs over 5 college seasons at 3 different schools). What the hell is going on?
