The fact that nobody on the team went for blood after the Blake hit is a huge problem with this roster.  You think Marchand is gonna stand around if someone does that to Verhagre?

Aho tried. Ref broke it up fast. Aho was pissed

Just my two cents but what separates the Panthers is their defense can really skate and their off the puck movement is incredible.

Slavin is a good skater and Chatfield is a great skater but after that our defense consists of some pretty average skaters. Florida pinches their defense in a bunch and we still can’t get odd man rushes like we did against Washington. And then you just look at how on offense the team is always interchanging and setting those legal picks. They really free themselves up for some great looks.

Yeah our systems are similar but there’s looks controlled and ours looks chaotic.

Our top 4 defensemen just aren't that good besides Slavin.  Burns and Orlov are washed.

They look controlled because after they forecheck and get the puck, they run set plays to get to the slot and net front.

For two of these games my 3 year old skipped his nap and I got him down before 8, didn’t do any good watching the garbage games though

Constantly losing their guys when other teams start to cycle.

Rod pretty much admitted this by putting Kochetkov in because he knows our defense is going to give up grade A’s which Kooch is just better at.

Hopefully Nikishin will be ready to fill some of those shoes and we can pickup someone else in FA or something.

    • Rotating in Chuba was beyond stupid and really hurt our offense overall. We’ve been in a good rhythm the last 6 quarters or so but Canales figured disrupting that with Chuba would be worth it Rico fits this offense so much better than Chuba    As far as grades go I know that ain’t our RB1, starting Center and our supposedly deep WR room and exciting talented young TE in dead last. Weird. I wonder if that has any correlation on QB play  Even that first incomplete ball Bryce threw in the end zone that hit Legette’s hands. Legette had no business being there so early. Legette went into scramble drill when that ball was intended for Coker who led up because of the traffic there
    • Yeah Jets have pretty much been in every game they've played and have barely lost to really good teams. They are much better than their record says Imo
    • I kinda just wanna see what the offense can do with a QB who has proven he can move the football in the NFL. If Dalton wasn't a shadow of his former self I'd be fine with him but Father Time has definitely caught up with him. If we start piling up the losses as the schedule gets tougher and the passing offense continues to be anemic that might cast Canales his job and it's worth a very low risk move IMO to at least give him a fighting chance. The thought of yet another Tepper rebuild just isn't at all exciting to me having already seen a few of them. I'm about giving this current guy a fighting chance.
