BREAKING: NFL Network will air 2 live Panthers preseason games

Recommended Posts

As announced on Wednesday, the NFL Network is set to cover 21 live preseason games in August—including two that feature the Panthers. Those contests will both emanate from Bank of America Stadium, with Carolina hosting the Cleveland Browns on Friday, Aug. 8 at 7:00 p.m. ET (Week 1) and the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 7:00 p.m. ET (Week 3).

That's awesome that us out of town fans will get to watch 2 of the games, but would have rather them only carried our 2nd game than both of the other two, as I have to imagine the starters might not play a ton in the 1st and 3rd games and the 2nd is where they'll get the bulk of their preseason snaps.

Will canales play bryce?

At this point it isn't even debatable. The first two games of the season last year loom large. Not just Bryce that extends across the roster to all the starters. Opening the season again with back to back road games. The starters need a significant amount of preseason reps.

Someone can correct me, but I remember video of canales basically admitting not playing BY&starters was a mistakes and changes would be coming this preseason.

I nearly lost faith in him and his staff before the season started over that, if there was one player in the whole NFL that needed preseason reps it was BY...... he's young and learning too, props to him for making the correct adjustment this time.

If and once BY is a 10 year vet with a couple SBMVPs, then its ok to sit him during PS...

    • Someone is clearly trying to get him fired and under the timeless principle that crazy women will always betray each other I’m gonna make a prediction….
    • I liked him more last offseason. I'd like to see the churn with our cornerback room and see what comes out the other side. Lots of youth and potential, we just need one or two to hit.  I don't want CSW to move to FS and think he's a solid enough NB as long as he's not depended on for 40 snaps a game. Thornton, Will Lee and Evans should net us at least one boundary corner and at least one dime guy if we deploy that.
    • The Canes are hoping to have Nikishin back on the ice tonight.  Will be a game-time decision. Hurricane's.com Projected Lineup for Tonight: Forwards Svechnikov - Aho - Jarvis Hall - Stankoven - Blake Ehlers - Staal - Martinook Carrier - Jankowski - Robinson Defense Slavin - Chatfield Miller - Walker Nikishin/Reilly - Gostisbehere Starting Goaltender Andersen --- Injuries N/A Scratches Nicolas Deslauriers Pyotr Kochetkov Jesperi Kotkaniemi --- PP1: Aho, Ehlers (Staal), Jarvis, and Svechnikov with Gostisbehere PP2: Blake, Hall, Jankowski, and Stankoven with Nikishin/Miller
