Zero chance he's coming to this franchise right now, regardless of local ties.

We are at least two years away from being remotely desirable for free agents and cut casualties.

But fun to play what if ...

meh we got the top guard in FA last year after a 2-15 season. money talks

Since we are talking LBs, I think we have 2 developmental players on the UDFA pile--Martin-Scott and this guy, one who could make the roster as a special teams player and become a rotational player later.

If that doesn't get you riled up, nothing will! With some of those hits and the hair, kinda reminds me of Troy Polamalu, not saying that he has the same talent, obviously.

He is a form tackler and, based on this, looks comfortable as a coverage LB.  With aggressive safeties in Ransom and Moehrig, he really opens the door for some coverage options in blitz packages...He runs a 4.62 40, but he seems really instinctive---like Ransom and Moehrig--I think Dan looks at that quite closely.  When I saw this I was thinking, "Special teams missile"  with developmental potential.  Odds are against it, frankly, but after the first round, odds are against all prospects.

Think he'd likely take from Wallace not Jewell.

Yeah, he is leaps and bounds better than Wallace. But the question then becomes, when do you get Wallace the reps to even attempt to develop?

I feel the same way about Pratt as I did Ramsey, it's a short solution for a long term situation.

My big question is Pratt is a 4-3 guy and evero is 3-4. Sure there is some overlap and its easier if you are elite.

The colts are where everyones money is at about where he will sign. They have his former DC and more money than the Panthers, plus a huge hole at LB.
