thanks @Captain Morgan as always with the updates

I'm digging what I'm hearing about Demani Richardson.  He's the guy not talked about as much.  It seems they've got a good grip on what they have with him after a lot of playing time to close out 2024.  Seems to have trust and I'm hearing good stuff.

The stuff being reported about Demani's comfort and communication at the top of the shell is giving me life ngl

You're falling on deaf ears here man. These same people will be the first ones slinging all kinds of insults and obscenities in the gameday threads if and when the defense inevitably struggles just like they did all last season. Complaint after complaint after complaint after complaint about the defensive effort and how the defense didn't give a sh*t. It's hilarious.

because all the great defenses in the NFL hit their QB in training camp. Every single coach in the league currently and historically would agree with Canales here. Period. Quit being a clown

People shout about how they want effort. They shout about how bad the defense is. Then they turn and around and attack rookie pass rushers on their personal Twitter accounts over a simple misunderstanding in the rookies first training camp. The only clowns in this situation are the ones flip flopping.

It's interesting because if you go to the Panthers reddit thread about this there are a few comments about not touching the QB in practice but the majority love the energy from the rookie pass rusher. Some are saying Bryce needs to work on holding the ball regardless. And others are wondering aloud if Canales went overboard ending practice early. Nobody going off the deep end about Princely nearly putting Bryce Young in a full body cast like the huddle here.

It truly amazes me that there are people in this fanbase so brazenly averse to simple realities.

I mean we're over here desperate AF to establish a culture. Really any kind of culture. And some of you need to have this explained to you why it looks pitiful to try and publicly drag a rookie over minor things like this.

You deserve a poverty franchise "bro".

frank, come on.

I've played football from the time I was 13 all the way throough D1 in college. One rule in EVERY practice, at EVERY level, is DO NOT hit the QB. Don't even touch him. Get close if you can but don't make contact. Very few teams can afford to lose their starting QB in a game, let alone in practice. Just a foolish and "weird" comment that rookie pass rushing reps trump starting QB health.

This was like 2 pages of mostly talk about safeties and then you started spiraling because someone questioned your awful take, posting multiple times in a row before anybody even responded to you. Is this about some guy saying something on Twitter or about Princely crying in a corner because Canales “crushed his confidence” by answering a question? It’s hard to get a read when you’re making back to back posts all complaining about different things.

All 32 defenses have the same rule every year. Sometimes it gets broken, then the coaches coach. I’ve seen coaches flip out on Hard Knocks over it, fights break out, etc. This is very basic stuff and nothing new and has no effect on how hard a defense plays. Nobody is destroying Princely or unhappy with the effort. It was a coachable moment that could have ruined the season and very fortunately did not. That’s it. I’m sure the team has moved on and this thread would have likely moved on as well if you weren’t so zealous in your hatred of our starting QB.

No one here is mad at Pincely. If you are upset with Reddit users go talk to them about it. All I’ve seen here is defending Canales’ tame comment in liking the effort but not the contact. He even came out today and said it looked like Princely was trying to avoid contact on the play. It’s really no big deal.

I've been a fan of the team for 20+ years. Never seen so much hand wringing over a rookie defender making a simple mistake while showing potential we've been begging for to the point we've eviscerated guys like Brian Burns countless times for low effort. Especially the year after the team fielded the worst defense in league history. It's comical all around. Spin it however you like.

As far as Canales. While I like him and have hope for him and have been vocal about the things he does well. Let's keep it completely 100 here. 31 other coaches last year didn't make it a point to sit their starters out as much as possible and then ended up getting their doors blown off in their first two games. Dave Canales has not yet earned the benefit of the doubt anymore than anyone else with this franchise until they finally post a winning record.

And once again everything goes back to so and so allegedly hating Bryce Young. Because apparently no other QB for this franchise has ever been scrutinized before Bryce Young came along. Ridiculous.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
