Anybody else wishing we had Caleb Williams?

Not really. If we had approached things the right way from the jump instead of making the splash trade up because it's what Tepper wanted we wouldn't have even been in position to draft him.

The Panthers have been where they are these last several years because our decision makers continually think they are the smartest in the room instead of just building with an actual plan.

While I give Baker Mayfield credit for his turnaround I wouldn't be surprised to see him brought back down to earth down the line. I mean yeah you're 3-0 but plenty of teams have started out hot and finished sputtering. Plus at the end of the day you beat the Tyrod Taylor led Jets by 2 points. And you use that as an opportunity to settle scores with former coaches. Sounds like he still needs some humbling.

I think he has had 3 game winning drives in there 3 wins. Pretty impressive, but I agree with the whole settling the score thing. He asked Wilks to release him once he was benched for Darnold and Wilks did him a favor and did it. There is no grudge to be had there.

Lot of NFL is PR and bologna though.  In real time, teams often say things publicly that are different behind the scenes.

with Bakers comments today, it wouldn’t be wild for the Panthers to just say we are trading you…..and we will be happy to put it out there you wanted out to make it not look as horrible for you and your career

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
