Legette played really well tonight and Horn (the rookie one) showed out as well.

I think it's time we, as a fan base, cleanse ourselves of the curse of the former Panthers Jimmy. Pickles can't hurt us now. There's a new Jimmy on town and he has actual talent and it's best we just call him Jimmy. I know it stirs up some deep emotions, but it's time. Lol

@PantherNationPC is had some nice videos on twitter I found. Crazy that I have to dig through twitter to find shakey videos from the stands to see my team in the golden era of media. Huddle is definitely bottom tier for fan interaction and insight these days.

I think that there's plenty of insight. There are still hardcore fans here that have been fans for years (decades in some cases), and have no shortage of insight---at least reasoned rationale or opinions. Being that many of us are older, it's going to take more than Fan Fest to get us excited. A preseason game is more exciting because at least I can focus on a "practice" from more of a macro perspective due to all the cameras and camera angles from the comfort of my living room.

Get off my lawn.

I'm really worried about the Panthers once Gen X and Millennials start disappearing.

Ive been watching YouTube coverage the last hour.

People hear arent interested in the football. They want to argue about drafts and trades forever

Not interested in the football? I think that is patently false. Preseason has barely started, and there hasn't been any real football for Panthers fans for about seven months. During the off-season, of course people are going to discuss drafts for a time and trades. Once the regular season begins, there will be a change in focus (like always). How long that focus lasts depends upon how well we are doing (or not), and if we are realistically in playoff contention. Otherwise, the off-season essentially starts a little early, but many still watch most  of the games (if not all of them), and fewer some will voice their opinions and give insights regarding the play.

The GenX and Millenials are the bulk of the fanbase. Boomers usually had their allegiances already by the time 1995 rolled around. Gen Z and whatever the next one is will have an extremely small Panthers fanbase. Even my die hard Panther friends(who have dwindled to almost nothing) don't really bother exposing their kids to the team anymore. I get it.

The NFL and football are going to decline significantly in domestic popularity sooner rather than later. It's just inevitable as US demographics and even moreso engagement is sharply declining in those ranks. The NFL's future will depend on their ability to build an international audience, IMO. There is literally no growth potential domestically in 10-15 years.

It's nothing new. The MLB, NASCAR and the NHL had had these declines in my lifetime. The MLB ended up recovering, the NHL is attempting to do so. NASCAR is probably not going to recover.

Put simply, this board's primary base was people here from the beginning until around 2015. The ones who came because Cam never stuck, save for a couple. The rest of us are now 35+ years old with jobs and families in an economy that sees us making more than double what we made 10 years ago and being no better off for it. We just don't have the time to invest in this place.

Bingo

And call me a Huddle homer, Huddle snob or whatever, but on other platforms, fans say some real stupid sh¡t. It's like they don't even know the team sometimes the sh¡t be so stupid.

Mac and bone on Friday were saying we should pay Bryce 50 million per year if he replicates the last 10 games of the season.   So yeah stupidity and irrationalness is the air.

And then there is this guy ^^^^ who has such an impressive level of one mindedness that he drags bryce hate into every single thread after complaining for years we needed to draft a qb #1.

TBH, overall Panthers content has gone downhill as the franchise has. Even the Hornets have better quality content creators involved than the Panthers do now, IMO.

I get it. Fan engagement for the Panthers has to be near record lows at this point.
