This is a good point I think. What concerned me about Coker is that he was a little redundant whereas some of lesser receivers may carve out a spot for themselves on special teams. I think you are right though, if Tet or Legette go down he is next man up.

Tet or Legette...hmmm...Tet and Legette, it rhymes. Not quite Double Trouble (and a different position), but Tet and Legette could become a thing.

I think the last WR spot is going to come down to who can play special teams.

Moore is a very good special teams guy, FWIW.

He's an apt backup receiver as well, with ties to Dan Morgan and Dave Canales.

I can't see how a 30 year old Moore is kept over Horn or Coker who could be here long term and both being better WRs than Moore is too.

Then if it's Moore vs Thielen and Renfrow, it also just doesn't seem like his special teams contributions would get him a roster spot over either of them in the end either.

Moore is only making the team if we keep 7 WRs or someone else goes down in camp/pre-season (knock on wood)

I mean, I get your point due to age,  but at this point I think that it's way too early to say that Horn is better than Moore. Plus, they are different receivers. As for Coker being better, I think that his rookie season has provided him a better trajectory than Moore's career early on, and that it's easier to project Coker being a more impactful NFL receiver. But age, alone, will likely put Moore at a great disadvantage if he is considered redundant in correlation to Coker.

Moore will not beat out a healthy Thielen or Renfrow. Their ceiling has simply proved to be much higher.

Coker is XL insurance  and he plays special  teams. He's not going nowhere as of yet. Think they may go with 7 wrs. Especially  with Tremble banged up.

I can see them keeping 7 WR to start the season with only two TE's (Sander and Evans) while Tremble is on PUP and an extra TE on practice squad

2 QB

9 or 10 O-line

3 RB

2 TE

7 WR

I think 7 is unlikely.

Maybe but Horn, Coker,  Renfrow and Moore play special  teams. We let a few special teams guys go. It'll be between Moore, another corner  or another lb. Whoever is the best special teams fit too

We will see what the numbers end up looking like. 7 WR's means a lighter positional group somewhere.

what do you think? Who has helped themselves? Hurt themselves? You’d like to hear more about?

One thing that I'm GLAD I'm not hearing about is XL Dropping balls. I know that the team has a monopoly on what information gets reported to the fans and its only camp, but I haven't heard a thing about his case of the dropsies continuing. XL with improved hands will be a beast!

I don't know.  I think we are way too run dependent to just be carrying 2 TEs into a season.  Think that's just too light in the run game.

and we just don't run the type O IMO to need 7 WRs.

Actually, they have reported on some drops.

But, given that they have a monopoly on info, it's going to be almost impossible to see if that is a trend or just a blip.

I haven't seen anything, but for the drop at Fan Fest. I've heard of some plays being broken up, particularly one on Friday that he said he should've caught.
