Possible the Browns are looking to trade Shadeur?

I know from our discussion during the draft you are not a fan, but I’m standing on this hill, LG.🤣

If we wanted him, why not just draft him in the 5th? If he indeed hits the trade block, a rookie hitting the trade block in the preseason is about as glaring as red flags get.

Highly likely a rumor driven by him being #4 on the initial depth chart. Just click bait for people who don't understand that these initial depth charts are completely irrelevant.

It seems to have started when someone of no consequence said him being held out of practice last week meant he was going to get traded. He was really just experiencing some soreness and returned after a day off.

Yeah let’s create a gigantic media circus, here.  For a player the most QB needy team in the league, doesn’t want. Kill BY confidence . And have two useless QBs.

its Sink or swim with Bryce this season.

If bryces confidence needs to be that carefully handled then he is not the answer.  He has 40 million reasons to have absolute impenetrable confidence.

What's done is done. We gotta hope it works out. But I will say. It is absolutely bewildering to see such frequent arguments against healthy competition for the most consequential position on the football field for a sports franchise with 7 winning seasons in 30 years.

I'm all for healthy competition. Definitely not for a huge distraction from adding a guy with honestly marginal NFL talent. Risk/reward and all that.

With Shedeur it's a toss up. I think he's either going to flourish or flop. The talent is there. It's the things in between. And with an era in sports where distractions are everywhere it's a recipe for disaster. But I don't have anything against him.

The Browns might have drafted him (in the 5th) because if he shows he's got some game, that would be a good trade later on for a 2nd or 3rd in the future (I hope just not with the Panthers). If he won the job, even better but if not, maybe good value for a trade.

Despite the hype tsunami, nobody wanted him 4 times over. I will say it was fun watching the draft coverage teams look like total clowns, and It took the lowly Browns to finally say ‘sure, why not.’ Now the rumor is them wanting to offload him? I’ll pass (bad pun). Juice not worth the squeeze from a media spectacle vs potential upside lens.

I agree.  He's not a monster of a man physically, but he does have the physical tools to be a successful QB IMO.  He's a complete clown though, so I really doubt it's going to work out well for him.  However, there are times when something can be stupid enough to work.  The Browns are definitely pushing that button.

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
