I don't think the GM matters on these big deals. They're going through the big guy.

When you’re going to be fired anyway, might as well take the shot.

First rounder is untouchable, could be Arch.

Archie has already said Arch won't be declaring for the draft next year. And if they blocked Eli to the Chargers ain't no way they're letting Arch end up in this poo show. LOL

Things can change but I do expect him to stay another year if not 2.  Doesn’t matter we can’t trade firsts that never works out.

I think the GM matters now. Morgan hasn't been perfect but the evidence so far is that he is making long term moves.

Seems like their stance is that Archie, Peyton, and Eli all played 4 years of college ball and if it ain't broke don't try to fix it. I mean, I can't really argue with the Mannings on how to best prepare for the NFL as a QB. But yeah, I definitely think that if they stood form and forced a block of Eli to the Chargers they'd probably due the same for Tepper's Panthers.

I'm not saying it doesn't matter, but on the huge moves I absolutely think Tepper is directly involved. I don't think you're trading future 1st rounders without him being involved.

True, but that pick would be gold.  The picks we could get would be nice…another player will rise

I still don’t get it… we’re supposed to trade away a first and multiple defensive starters for a 4-3 DE to play OLB in our defense?

Oh and he’s over 30 and needs a new contract and struggles to stop the run?

It's Panthers logic. No one get it. LOL

I know we make some less than room temp IQ moves but this would be a colossal bumblefug of a move.  It makes no sense at all.

Irrelevant in this discussion then.   Morgan isn't trading 1st rounders for Hendrickson.  Off the top of my head his trades have been:

Burns for a 2nd, a shuffle with D Jackson and Johnson that didn't work or hurt, 7th round Barrett for Michael Jackson (wow) and a 4th for Mingo (uh, yeah).

I don't follow why anyone would discern from that track record that he'd ship a single first for Hendrickson.
