I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.

I don't think the hypothetical move to RT would ever materialize. He has never played RT at the college or pro level. I believe it was Moton himself that stated its not simple to make this switch. 

I think realistically, if Ikey fails at LT he is likely to end up at OG.

I also think that door is closed here, so more likely than not it would be with a new team.
