I know this is an unpopular opinion right now, but this wasn't all on Bryce.  We are very predictable, and there were few players today that I wouldn't place blame on.

Did Bryce look good?  No.

He's still the guy going forward for right now and everyone needs to calm down.  We knew this was a possibility.  He either figures it out and we are good, or he doesn't and we draft his replacement.

Nothing as changed about this equation, and we still don't know the answer to the question at this point.

i know the answer to the equation Bryce Young is not an NFL starting Qb .period.& that has nothing to do with today's one game

everyone makes mistakes in the NFL. it's the ones who can promptly recognize their mistakes & cut their losses early on that separates the teams that are successful from the teams who always seem to never figure it out & are like well I really don't know WTF to expect ? & why should you expect anything great to come out of a QB who has had way many more bad games than good games  .Bryce Young is now 1-15 on the road as a starting Qb in the NFL

that tells me someone does not know how to properly evaluate talent if you have no clue what to expect going into year 3 ...just saying

When can we panic?

I don't think we panic this year.

If you guys really are this convinced he is trash, this is actually a GOOD thing.

He will continue to burn and we will replace him with out inevitable high 1st round pick.  The worst thing he can do is continue to be mediocre and give Tepper hope.

There is nothing to be done about it right now, even if you are right.  He was the choice.  This is the plan.  Sink or swim.

This. Bryce basically turns the entire field into the redzone. The redzone is easier to defend because there's simply less field to defend. Well, with Bryce throwing the ball there's simply less field to defend.

Exactly. The lack of arm talent just limits everything on offense and canales could do a better job managing that if he was a better coach. Tmac looked great and I still think the offense is talented but Bryce is just so limiting

My only concern here is that if you do this I think you're also having to commit to a full reset again. Canales will lose the locker room sticking with Bryce.

Bryce lives in some realm where the only way he plays well is when he’s not in his head thinking of his own limitations and the offense isn’t being challenged on a talent level. It sucks because I see what the team is trying to do but it’s just not realistic to require the team to be perfect for him to display competence.

Just over 150 yards and barely 50% completion for the game with 3 turnovers.  FRANCHISE!!!

Basically 50% of those passing yards were in the last half of the 4th quarter.

it’s all Groundhogs Day.

Offense is just really hard to come by when the opposing defense knows that you can't stretch the field because your QB is incapable of it. We saw the same thing with Campaign after his shoulder injuries and Cam was nowhere near as overall physically limited as Bryce even with a trashed throwing shoulder.

Carolina did the right thing last year moving on from Bryce last season after 2 games.  The right move was to then trade him.  He never sees the field again.    They fugged that up and set this debacle up.

to me, Bryce has always been year 3 Rhule.  It’s not going to work yet we committed to a known pointless season

That is a legit concern.  I still don't think you can bench him after one game.

Everyone is overreacting right now.

For the record, I wanted Stroud.  I started watching film with him, and was so convinced he was the pick with Reich at the helm that I didn't even evaluate anyone else.  I felt like I was going crazy as the draft approached and it seemed like Young could possibly be the pick.

He's the guy now, though.
