That zone was so soft that 3 guys were bearly on the screen. No rushing called. Playing off the line 10+ yards. Yeah that's garbage time. It took an onsides kick to make them try to play D again. Until then they didn't care and still wouldn't play real D against Young until they absolutely had to and that was with backups in the backfield.

Slow start is freaking hilarious. He was gifted the lowest effort a bad team can give and still couldn't put anything together for 1 freaking series at the end after 2 quarters of warmup ball. It was like watching someone stretching for an hour and then pull a hammy after 10 feet of running.

Literally said horrible start actually. Stop trying to argue for argument's sake sir. I'm just stating facts mixed with my interpretations of replays. No emotions involved. That's for women and children. And you don't have to try to make me look bad to prop yourself up. That's immature.

The Cardinals were in man for the last TD to Renfrow. Likely a cover 2 man under, but definitely man under. They were in man under for the pass to Renfrow to put it on the 1 yard line. They were in man under for Renfrow's first TD. They were in man under for Chuba's TD catch, though it was a broken coverage. Looking at the replays, not going off my feelings:( I'm not saying BY was 100% on point. Never did. No QB ever is. EVER. Except for a Jayden Daniels game last year. That was something to behold. I've called Bryce out plenty the last 2 weeks.

WRs were obviously gassed on that final drive though. Can't say I blame them, but they were sucking wind, barely running routes. The only one that looked like he had something left in the tank was Legette. So, at least he's in great shape! But Bryce had given up on him by then. I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a problem in the locker room by season's end.

Generally speaking, as bad as we are, we aren’t trailing by 24 the first time we touch the ball in the second half.

and he finished how we started.  Really bad

Sure did. So did the rest of the offense. Bryce mostly put up prayer balls, receivers didn't make plays on them, and the line turned to crap. Just like they started.

Teams running prevent and giving a team yards for clock….is generally what goes down between the 20s.   You can’t run prevent D on the goaline.

It's easy to conserve energy when you loaf most of a game, don't block, etc.

It's a weak take like it was a weak game. It was garbage time against backups. That's his shine time. It's should be made fun of because it was pathetic. The WRs were gassed? What about the backup DBs? Those guys must have been really tired since they sit on the bench most of the time. Take that BS and go whine to someone else. man or zone they played off the line and back 10 yards in soft ass coverage. That and practice is all Young is good at. When the other team plays like they want to win he shuts down. Same as last year. Blah blah blah

I don't think they changed as much as you think between the INT and the final sack (immediate pressure with 4 linemen). They definitely stopped blitzing as much, if a blitz means rushing more than the front 4/5. They definitely did some exotic packages where they sent LBs/DBs and dropped linemen into coverage though. The fumble and INT were both blitzes. And yes they were successful. And yes, I agreed with Bryce not taking care of the ball. Really not many answers on those plays - just take the sack and live another play (unless you're Lamar). Which he didn't do.

And no, you can't run prevent on the goal line. What's prevent defense to you? Alignment, personnel, cushion, etc.? Just curious. My reply was to the post that they sat back in some soft zone the whole game - until the end, when it mattered. That's not true. They blitzed, they disguised coverages and blitzers, they pressed, they bailed, they covered the flats, all of that. Not trying to argue. Just trying to inform. Actually they only blitzed once on the final drive, and the DB got away with a bad hold on Tremayne. Otherwise looked like it would have been a completion for a first down. The Cardinals' final drive defense looked a lot like the rest of the game.

I know it's easy to get upset after a lose (I'm guilty), but Mondays are when cooler heads prevail. Right? Emotions can make us seem like we don't know what we're talking about. The Huddle isn't supposed to be that. I always saw it as a place to go discuss the Carolina Panthers with more than the casual fan, and their emotionally charged opinions. I can get that at the local grocery store, where they don't know anything about NC/SC, let alone the Panthers.

Cards weren't really blitzing that much the entire game.  The ones they sent just wrecked Bryce.

My opinion is you are over fixated on what happened as we got close to the goal.   The one possession we had in the 3rd quarter? That was a freebie to get down there.  It was literally just checkdowns to the TE when we weren't running the ball down... taking up the entire quarter.  Next quarter Cards were inviting the exact same behavior.  Which is why you got those back to back clock eating small ball 14 play drives.  Featuring RB and TE easy catches.

I don't blame fans.  We've had a poo product on the field for a LONG time.

The Panthers have been saturating the market with a LOT of hopium this offseason.  It doesn't help that the NFL media machine has tagged us as an up and coming team.

Why spend your hard earned money on a Panthers game where they are going to look like crap?  They need to get better before they'll have some fan by in.  What do we hang our hat on?  For years, it was Defense, and it was a heck of a D.  We don't have that identity right now.

It doesn't help having a former Youth Pastor (the way he talks) head coach and a QB who is a physical outlier.

Fans are going to fan their own way.  But Tepper needs to figure out his own owning style.

Facts. Someone just offered me their ticket to Sunday's game and I told them nah... I'm good. Im not expecting much from this team to want to go.
