We won, but Bryce and Canalas still blow

Yeah I’m just going to enjoy the fact we shut out a division rival at home.

AND the fact that we play the pats, dolphins, cowboys, and jets who all look as bad as us this season over the next 4 weeks.

We could see a .500 record in November for the first time in forever.

Again we gifted them a FG with a dropped punt and they returned the gift with a missed FG. The FGs were also from 49 and 55 yards out. This is all part of the game. Also we have been struggling with our running game so far this season. That and keep in mind ATL’s strength is their pass rush so of course we are going to run it more if we are able to. Our game plan was good and worked out fine.

Us gifting them the opportunity doesn't mean they also didn't give us a bigger gift in return by missing it.

The point is just that if THEY didn't make the mistakes they did, it's an entirely different game.

I understand that a lot of people have opinions regardless of whether or not they're informed and/or vetted.

However, it is quite telling that when asked for specific examples to support their opinion there is either silence or deflection.

It was more a comment about the overall feel of the game as a whole than individual plays. This doesn't feel like an offense that can line up and drive 90 yards in 60 seconds. Is there a 2 minute offense? 1 minute? Now whether that's Canales or Bryce or a combo of both, who can say with 100% certainty. I didnt walk away from this game thinking to myself this team laid down a 30-0 ass whooping. Games like that have a different feel to them. This didn't. We won, but it didn't feel our offense was dominant. It felt like they played really badly and we didn't screw it up.

You could say the same thing about us the first 2 weeks. That’s just part of the game.

So?

Honestly, this means nothing.

Yes, we gifted those teams points and wins, but us doing that to someone else doesn't make me okay with us not taking advantage of the situation and letting Bryce sling the ball all around the field because we weren't afraid of losing due to it.

Cards and jags aren’t great either those two losses really sting looking at upcoming games.

You play to win. Dropping back and passing over and over against a team whose strength is pass rush isn’t a good idea. We needed to get our running game back in sync. Hopefully we accomplished that today.  I mean we also had 24 pass attempts abd 30 rush attempts in a game we won by 30. That’s pretty balanced all things considered. Honestly I think you just wanted TMac to get a lot of passes which I can understand.

Yea, I want my guy to get more passes, but this has NOTHING to do with that.

I get the "you play to win the game" mantra, but at the same time, I'm absolutely sick of winning meaningless games, and we're never going to be in meaningful games until we have our QB situation solved.

This year... I'd rather lose a game where we get answers about Bryce (in either direction) than win a game where we get absolutely zero answers on him.

Again, we can't go into next year not knowing if he's our long term solution.  We had 17 games to decide that, he's looked terrible in the first 2 and we just effectively tossed the 3rd into the trash.

Every game we don't gain more answers about Bryce is a loss, whether we win or lose the game, it's just the way this season is going to be and I'll never be convinced otherwise.

Sorry, but not sorry, because I want to win over the next 10 years than win a few meaningless games this year.

So... 175yds passing? 1 passing TD? What is it? Give me a stat line and I'll take the entire week off so that you don't have to keep tasting my nuts in your mouth.

you took off the whole week last week because bryce was so bad

no one is asking you to watch the film and misinterpret it.

It’s week 3 and any team would be playing to win. Bryce be damned we have to start developing a winning culture. Losing a week 3 divisional game because you wanted to evaluate your QB is a good way to get fired. There are other players and coaches in this team that want to win.

Also another way to evaluate Bryce is to see how he performs in games that matter. In order to have these games you need wins.

But the point is, given how the game went, we weren't going to lose this game if we let Bryce air it out in the 2nd half.

And THAT is what I'm frustrated with.

We had an opportunity to let Bryce gain some confidence by playing without fear of losing the game, but we didn't remotely take that chance.

I keep going back to the number 9... After the opening drive, we only had 9 targets to WRs the rest of the game.

That's an absurd stat for a team that is needing to decide if their QB can be a long term solution or not, regardless of the game situation.
