Outside of Jameson Williams who are these super pass catchers he had at Bama?

Metchie, Burton, Brooks, Latu, Bond, Prentice, Bolden are the only guys I can think of. None of them are doing anything now.

It's a very common misconception. Let's not pretend BY did not have top end college talent, but yeah ppl think he played with Jeudy, Waddley, Smith, Ridley, Ruggs. It's kinda crazy how BY just happened to miss that generational run on WR they had both before and after him.

Finding a true TE1 or WR2 to go along with TMac to finally give Bryce 2 options in a single season needs to be a priority like yesterday

Stop. In his best season his starting WRs were the #12 overall pick and a 2nd rounder. His starting TE and RB were drafted in the 3rd. That is absolutely ELITE skill position talent at the college level.

The next season that was still good but a significant drop off, he still had that 3rd round TE. His starting RB would go on to be a #12 overall pick. He had another 3rd round WR at WR1. Definitely a little soft for Bama skill position talent but far from a bare cupboard, especially when you compare it to the talent surrounding most QBs at non-blue blood programs not to mention the huge gap in talent in the trenches.

yeah, it wasn't that crazy Bama roster or that old Miami roster....

but...in his 2 years as a starter at Bama

3 of his RBs went to the NFL

4 of his WRs went to the NFL

2 of his TEs went to the NFL

5 of his OL went to the NFL

No one in college football had that around them.

There is a reason McElroy, McCarron, Sims, Coker, Hurts, Tua and Bryce all had success.....they played w/ the best rosters in college football paired w/ the best coach.   Not sure why recently, the narrative shifted on the Bama QBs being a bigger part of the puzzle than they ever were.

This recent dunking ignores the reality that the Vikings have better targets and McCarthy has been ass.

Still... can't be the ROI that Vikings expected for what they gave up?

If McCarthy keeps looking like this they're going to regret giving up any future draft capital to put a bandaid approach WR on the last legs of his career out there for him.

If McCarthy keeps looking like this, that AT trade is going to be a pretty small concern in comparison to the others.

Yeah, I don't know if you're competing for SBs with Sam Darnold but you're obviously a helluva lot better with Darnold than the current version of McCarthy. And yeah, I'm saying this as a fan of the team that tossed aside both Darnold and Mayfield so glass houses, rocks, and all that jazz.

I don't think much of Darnold at all but he is better as a QB than McCarthy has been so far. Crazy small sample size but....those games were not good at all.

Folks a little hard of McCarthy.  He sucked his his NFL debut on the road but was okay in his second start.

if you apply the Bryce Young curve that 2nd game qualifies as really really good game.

What? He was even worse in his 2nd start. He was ass for the majority of the game in his debut but got his act together and played well late as the Bears fell apart. He was 11/21 for 185 yards 0 TDs and 2 INTs against the Falcons that we just beat 30-0 in his second start. With McCarthy out with injury the washed up ghost of Carson Wentz hung 48 on the Bengals.
