It sounded a little more sincere this time, like he really is going to start him again.
And I didn’t see the game, so: was he really as bad as what got him yanked last year? The numbers looked better.

I mean kinda there were a lot of throws at peoples feet. Over threw McMillan on a TD. Average performance.

It’s wild watching Panthers games with BY and then clicking over and watching games with other QB’s. It really is night and day. The throws and decisiveness you see from Dak, Love, Caleb Williams earlier, Carson Wentz and Rodgers in the early game. Every team has a starter and a backup that can make NFL throws, and we have a 165 pound midget that can’t throw deeper than five yards. Young is just completely in over his head.

I honestly don't think these remaining Bryce defenders are watching other NFL games. They can't be. It's just so blatantly obvious that Bryce doesn't have the tools. I get it when you're watching your team play it's hard to objectively watch the other team so just turn on a game where you have no rooting interest and watch. Even if it's a backup playing. You'll see flashes of talent that Bryce simply doesn't have.

He can play like that as a #1 pick with $39 million guaranteed but Xavier Legette is in the dog house. This locker room isn't going to last the season with him keeping the starting job.

Bryce did not help this team win, and he didn't lose this game. Everyone is missing the point that Canales is also the biggest issue. Special team plays like ass, Defense is ass, offense is ass. This team is not even competitive!! That's on the HC!!! Replacing Bryce doesn't fix any of these issues!!!

This is verbatim the things we said about Reich. This is staff #2 for Bryce Young.

The best this passing offense has looked since 2023 was with Dalton in Seattle under Reich and in 2024 with Dalton in Las Vegas under Canales.

That tells you all you need to know.

I mean, I defended Dwayne Jarrett for years.  Sometimes we just don’t want to admit being wrong about something we talk loudly about

We were talking about QBs simply showing flashes of being special and having attributes….which are what cause belief.  It’s how certain QBs get chances after flopping.

which again, brings us to Bryce who is unicorn it terms of physical tools.  He doesn’t have them.  And has never been special through the bad

And we can go to the Jets and Browns for their flashes boss.  It’s you that wanted to erase that from existence and talk Carolina.

Bryce has one anomaly games to his 3 year career.  Week 18.  He wasn’t good during his “comeback”.  He just wasn’t a nightmare.

You do know Bryce would have been the number 1 pick no matter who picked him. I could can post film breakdowns of what makes Bryce “special” but you will just pop poo it .

At the end of the day, it's an ORGANIZATIONAL FAILURE. No single player is going to save this franchise. Changing QBs is not going to make a difference. Poor draft choices, poor coaching choices, poor team building is what ultimately dooms this franchise. Anybody who expects a winning season in the next 5 years is delusional.

Actually we dont know that and we'll never know that. And for.all these experts that know who the top ranked players are, they are about as accurate as your local weatherman. Remember Mel Kiper was going to call it quits if Jimmy Pickles wasn't a football god, but he's still out there making predictions. Frank didnt even want Bryce and it was obvious in his body language after the pick, during training camp, and the 9 games before he was canned. That was Dave and Nicole's pick. Stroud fit Frank's offense. Bryce didn't.

we always need to subset things to a handful of games with Bryce Young because of *how bad* things are when you consider the whole.  If Bryce had come out this season keeping pace with last year... okay fine... but he hasn't...

But anyway, the 2022 Panthers offense averaged 23 ppg with Darnold, and he didn't have a better supporting cast at that point in time IMO.  I'd take TMac all day over DJ, and that's no slight on Moore, he is a great receiver.

Either way we're comparing Young to another meh veteran.

In those 6 games Darnold played he had 9 total TD and the running game was doing the heavy lifting and no Tet is not in DJ level. DJ is one of the few WR than can take a simple swing pass 80. And we are talking about 2023 when Bryce number one was Thielen.

But Jarrett had the tools. It was rational to hope that he might pull it together. Bryce isn't going to improve his toolset. He just doesn't have an NFL toolset.

The WR equivalent would be Brenton Bersin and even that's a stretch of a comp because at least Bersin had good height/weight measurables. Bryce ain't got poo.

Nobody is saying this is a good franchise. Nobody is saying Canales is a good coach. Nobody is saying Dan Morgan is a good GM. Nobody is saying the Tepper's are good owners. All of that doesn't change the fact that we are starting a significantly physically limited QB who is hindering and failing the moving parts around him as much as they are him. This isn't about winning. Nobody that isn't a top to bottom homer expected a winning season this year. I certainly didn't. But we can compete better than this even with all the other things going on. Everything is falling apart because the team goes as the QB goes and it has always been that way and it always will be. No amount of all caps or exclamation marks will change that sir.

I guess I am gonna have to Um, listen, UM, to Bryce’s postgame to see what his excuse is. Even though I know that it will likely be “I have to UM , be better….”
