Tepper ruined our favorite team

Let’s be honest here. Take out the last seven years which have obviously been horrible. The Panthers were roughly a .500 team, and that’s only because of a 2-3 year stretch right around both Super Bowl runs. We essentially caught lightning in a bottle twice and went back to the dumps both times. No one has ever considered us a perennial threat. Sure, Tepper is god awful, but we’d still be bitching with 10-7, 9-8, 8-9, 7-10 because it all means the same thing - no championship and no consistency. Even in the “good” years, anyone who had been a fan for any real amount of time knew we would regress to the mean at best. 3-14 or 9-8? I don’t give a poo. Neither one wins a championship, and there’s never been a reason to believe we would be a contender year in and year out.

Something happened at halftime and in the 2nd half today that got us a win, and Tepper had nothing to do with it

Sure, big picture there's stuff to complain about, but let's enjoy today first

Tepper was in the locker room celebrating with a crumbled up pink slip in his pocket

I agree with you with everything you said. Also, because helped get my profile out of purgatory.  Forever grateful sir

(AP) — It had been a while since the Carolina Hurricanes had finished practice, with players coming and going from the locker room. Yet Logan Stankoven was still on the ice, leaving a crowd of reporters patiently waiting at his locker. Such is the dynamic for the 23-year-old as the Eastern Conference's top seed heads into Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs to face the Philadelphia Flyers. Stankoven has been rolling at nearly a point-per-game pace going back to mid-March, including scoring in every game of Carolina's first-round sweep of Ottawa. Beyond the immediacy of that spotlight, though, is the other piece of Stankoven's story: the Hurricanes are betting he can keep growing into the role as second-line center, coming after spending multiple seasons searching for an answer there.
