lol you wanted Sam or Baker here? Nah. Shut up

99% of the huddle said Darnold and Mayfield sucked here. Don't sit around pretending like you wanted them.

Nobody is going to shut up. You can yammer on about people being old while we know you're just as old as everyone else. Nobody cares. If this is how you spend your mornings I feel sorry for you. Good luck bud!

I’m literally the same age as Cam lol. That’s old? No doubt I’m young to you.

And yes which means 99% of the huddle was wrong like always. I was in that 99% on Sam. I always thought Baker was good.

Darnold and Mayfield weren't just hated here either. This website very often goes the opposite direction most mainstream fans and other social media sites go on opinions (like everyone enjoying the win while we have 50 threads calling for Bryce's head). But with Darnold it was like nobody wanted him, let's not rewrite history lmao.

Bryce undeniably has a comeback spirit to him. But the reality is he lacks the physical tools for us to compete. Today's win was on Dowdle, but frankly the only reason this was competitive to begin with was Bryce.

We need to move on after this year. He's Jake Delhomme, without the arm.

Jake was an alpha.  Bryce, not so much.

My other account got disabled when Twitters API policy went private. Not the only account this happened to.

Not that having an account is even necessary to read this website

and you other account would be who?

Anyone that used the Twitter sign up. This isn't a problem with just this website Twitter did some fugshit with the API under Elon I think it was some ridiculous money scheme trying to charge websites like 50k a month to use it or some shyt. Invision Community has a thread talking about this on their website as well, should be disabled but doesn't work either way

I was definitely on board with re-signing Darnold for another year while they drafted someone. Darnold really turned a corner once he came back in the second half of 2022. He is one of the better QBs in the NFL now for sure. Still makes those patented Darnold blunders though, evidenced by throwing a pick on a potential game winning drive yesterday. But he was also stellar at times during that game too.

Sad thing is, Bryce will never be as good as Darnold yet is like some huge cause for people, where Darnold just needed to go.

Every single QB since Cam was released the first time has been bad mouthed. And even he got the smoke the second time around. All this flailing about criticism of the QB is just performative.

And as I keep saying. Baker and Sam both have significant physical talent. All they had to do was take a step or two in the mental aspects and that's what they did. And that's why so many teams take chances on draft prospects with all the physical tools.

    • Maybe it's because I played LT until some fat fug folded my knee, but I love watching footwork drills at the combine for olinemen. I call it fat man ballet. Base and balance are everything when it come to being a lineman. Everything starts there. Sure there's lateral movement, hip flex, bend, hand fighting, strength, push, etc, but without a strong base and good balance, the rest aren't happening. Those drills are specifically designed to show you things and they stand out big time if you're watching their feet and ankles. You can tell what doesn't feel like a natural movement. I remember watching Greg Little and I was blown away at how bad his footwork was. Like unbelievably bad. To the point I thought maybe he had never practiced one of these drills before. I remember when we drafted him, I thought to myself well fug, there's a wasted pick.  Aside from the added weight, I wonder if that's part of why Bryce didn't throw. Standing next to all the other QBs, that footwork and mechanics would stand out like a sore thumb, much more so than at a pro day. Bryce is good at some things, improvising and eluding and he does appear to have that clutch gene, but his throws get ugly when he tries to arm it instead of having that solid stead base to throw from.
    • He could be 6-9 and he would still suck with the issues he has.
