The Dowdle Mirage - Play Calling Problems

This thread is dumb. But I do think canales gets too cute with play calling and I don't think he's a good coach

At the end of the half, the clock would not allow us to use Dowdle.  It fell on Bryce's shoulders.  In my estimation, he did not try to score a TD by throwing a pass to TMAC or even XL at the back of the end zone about 10 feet off the ground where only they could get to it--He threw some out that had no chance of getting us six points but got the FG kicker four yards closer to pay dirt.  Decisions like that are inexcusable and reflect a lack of confidence or awareness.  I think his pussiness cost us a potential 4 points.  Either the pusiness was in the play calling (because Canales does not trust Bryce, thinking a pass to the back of the end zone would be a turnover) or it was a clear cut demonstration of a QB who does not understand how the game is played or what his weapons can do.  

Sometimes you can suck by what you fail to try, not just what you fail to do.
