The quality of Newton's reporting matches the quality of our starting QB. I'm surprised to see Bryce Young supporters in this thread (you know who you are) and others are calling for Newton's firing while defending Bryce Young to the hilt. It's nothing if not ironic.

David Newton never won a heisman in journalism.

he has done it for a long long time, who is to say he isnt good?

Let’s see this week he asked Evero the same question about DB pass rushing 3 times in a row in which Evero had to directly tell him “I feel like I’ve answered this question.” Then he posted our RG Moton will miss this game. Now he asked a player if his dead dad will be cheering for the Cowboys. This is all just in one week.

again, I am not his employer, I dont follow his stuff or read any of it including social media, but he has been employed long enough where someone thinks he is doing a good job, not disagreeing he isnt an moron but I am not calling for anyones job for being a moron when it really doesnt affect me

Journalist report team info to the fans and the fans are the ones calling for his job. They have every right to do so. His employer can make their decisions accordingly. I’ve been in the work force for long enough to know longevity doesn’t always equal good performance. I’m not sure where that is coming from.

That’s what the fans are wondering openly now. Why is he still employed? I could care less how long he has been doing it. Why is this such a struggle with you? Are fans not allowed to be upset with a bad product? I mean that’s your whole persona here on the Huddle.

Sure man.  Im not upset.  There are other people to follow.   Continuing to read his stuff and get upset is pretty much on you at this point he's not a good reporter as we know obviously but I'm not signing a stupid internet poll to get him fired.  Pretty useless all things considered.  Again someone at espn likes his work

Jesus, what a mess... Does David Newton have dementia as bad as Jerry Jones does or something?

    • I don't do locks lol. I just bet +1000 and up and can hit at a decent rate. Combine ml winners and team shots on target. Do better in champions league than anything else
    • Did not expect this from national media. https://www.foxsports.com/stories/nfl/10-best-nfl-defenses-2026-texans-seahawks-broncos 10. Carolina Panthers   Key additions: OLB Jaelan Phillips (FA), LB Devin Lloyd (FA), DT Lee Hunter (draft) Key losses: DT A’Shawn Robinson (FA) Don’t be surprised to see the Panthers, who ranked 15th in points allowed and 16th in yards given up last season, make the leap into the top-10 conversation in 2026.  They added two of the marquee defensive free agents in edge rusher Jaelan Phillips and linebacker Devin Lloyd. Cornerback Jaycee Horn is coming off back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons. Carolina lost starting defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson in free agency but essentially replaced him with second-round pick Lee Hunter, who had 10.5 tackles for loss at Texas Tech last season.  Ejiro Evero, one of the NFL’s most respected defensive coordinators, has plenty of talent to work with.
    • unless you have a bonafide superstar at Qb you bring in competition every year until you do & or at the very least you want a legitimate plan B in case of an injury .the problem in Carolina is they know Bryce ayoung most likely could not actually win a real legitimate NFL Qb competition right now & if & when he did not win that aforesaid Qb competition it would not only be a major distraction but a setback to his overall development.& moreover once the fans realized they had a much better Qb on the roster it would be alot of public pressure to start the better Qb  ...just saying
