I mean, MAYBE as our beat reporter he should have known that story, but even as big of a fan of the team as I am, somehow this is the first time I've heard about this.

Newton is absolutely terrible, but I think I have to give him a pass on this one if I didn't even know about it.

I didn’t remember it myself and would have to look it up. But he is supposed to be a pro. Not sure he is a graduate of any journalism school, not gonna bother looking. He should be better regardless, agree.

Regardless of the strategy or direction current media goes, doesn't change the fact that literally every question asked in that video was dumb and not interesting.

I have been in touch with the Panthers and have also reached out to Xavier Legette to apologize for my question Thursday regarding his late father’s Cowboys fandom. There is no excuse for my forgetting a hard moment in X’s life. I have nothing but respect for Xavier. It was an innocent mistake on my part, but a hurtful one, and I hope he will accept my apology

The quality of Newton's reporting matches the quality of our starting QB. I'm surprised to see Bryce Young supporters in this thread (you know who you are) and others are calling for Newton's firing while defending Bryce Young to the hilt. It's nothing if not ironic.

I haven’t watched a game live this season. But I live a short block from three bars and am going to deal with Cowboys fans but with maybe we’ll piss them off 

And yeah the whole ESPN on air bunch, they can keep them and Newton too.
