Chuba trying too hard to prove he can do what Rico been doing. He just needs to play his game.

He is an inside power rusher, and with Hunt out and the Jets Dline playing well, it just wasn't there. He did look a llittle hesitant though.

I think we are figuring out the new RB mix might take a few weeks. What Rico did past 2 weeks isn’t sustainable his body would break down getting 32 touches a game so I like using both a lot. That being said Rico seems clearly better and should be getting prob 65% of snaps. Chuba is a better pass protector tho

Well said here. I do hope today will keep Rico fresh for what we’re going to need to do next week against the Bills to win.

You do know Bryce has multiple TD this season with him under center right?  The 2023 bucs had two pro bowl WR and great passing line and I suggest you check those first half of the season numbers, this offense can eclipse them by the end of the season.

Again you are making excuses for bad play calling just to blame Bryce.

Bryce is easily one of the 5 worst starting QBs in the NFL. You could take a starting QB from almost any team in the NFL, make him our starter, and our passing offense would immediately improve.

I would love to see Bryce succeed. Our team has sucked for years and we gave up a fool's ransom to acquire him. That's one of the reasons I watch the games every week. I keep hoping that he's going to show something to justify taking him in the 1st round. After 2.5 seasons, I still don't see anything in his game that shows that he's a franchise QB. You really can't build a Panther team around Bryce's talent to win in this league. You need to build a strong team that's able to win despite limitations. A QB with that type of game is not worth $50 mil a year (the going rate for starting QB's on their 2nd deal these days).

Carolina has a MAJOR DECISION to make at the end of his 3rd year.  If his play doesn't DRASTICALLY improve over the next 2 seasons then then FO needs to part ways with him and find a formidable QB. If we extend him and he continues  to play at this level then we will be in QB purgatory for the rest of the decade.

I would draft a QB if one falls to us. Bryce is not the long term answer for this team. It will be interesting to watch Dalton for a game or two if it happens. I think a major problem (besides size and strength) is his football intelligence. I don't think he has it. I don't think he can read the defense at all. For any success he'll need someone like Cam had (Kalil) to basically tell him what is going on. I do not think Bryce has the football IQ to be a long term starting QB.

Not he’s not, you have just made up your mind everything is Bryce fault. We had functioning offense last season with a bottom 3  WR core, and a mediocre pass blocking unit. This year with all the injuries and less than stellar play calling the offense is still moving the ball. This whole narrative that Bryce needs everything right and to be in an all star team for him to be successful when there is proof of the opposite.

I think his football knowledge is fine. He seems intelligent just a huge introvert. His problem has always been his height and arm strength.

He had the look of "I haven't played in almost a month"...

I don't think Chuba did anything wrong in the game. Oline just blocked awful for him in the 2nd half

Will be interested to see the PFF of Corbett at LG. To be fair, when he was a Guard he played the other side and he hasn’t even played in a month. Will be happy to see Lewis back in and Corbett as the next guy up at G/C

With the possible exception of the Jets and Titans,

1) give me team in the NFL that would see an immediate improvement in their passing game if Bryce became their starter. What team would he make better just by having Bryce line up under center?

2) List 5 starting QBs in the NFL that are less productive than Bryce (injured starters do not count). Based on his career so far, I can't think of one team in the NFC with a starter that he could beat out in a fair competition. He wouldn't start on any team in the NFC East, NFC North, or NFC West. The only team that he could possibly have a shot at earning some playing time would be New Orleans b/c he never beat out Mayfield or Pennix.

Chuba is on a big contract

Rico is a 1 year rental

next year Jonathan Brooks will be in Rico role

Monetary compensation should not play a factor in getting the best guys on the field on a sunday.

Sometimes you have to admit your mistakes.

And before anyone gets their panties in a wad, im not saying signing Chuba was a mistake, we pretty much had to since he was the only player that actually developed over that time and we had to show that you can get paid if you work hard to get better.

Bryce is interchangeable with the majority of the QBs in the middle of the league, you just hate him so much there nothing in will say that will change your mind. You mean the same Baker that had a much better panthers roster and still got cut? Or Darnold who inherited the most talented panthers team in the last decade and was benched.

Do you even watch football? Penix never gets under center, in terms of taking snaps under center there a bunch of other QBs that never get under center and that includes Jayden Daniel’s who is everyone darling.
