Anthony Richardson has been plagued by injuries and what does his play have to do with Hendon.

Richardson was a combine warrior his passing stats in college never showed elite he was drafted on potential.

Hendon was an elite passer in college and is near the top of all time Tennessee passing stats.

The jury is still out on what Hooker ability at this level is.

The jury is not out. He went from 3rd round pick to unemployment and the practice squad in a very short period of time. I would say the league has spoken rather conclusively with their actions, wouldn't you?

Hendon was a 3rd pick on a team with an establish starter and superbowl aspirations, they chose to go with veteran Kyle Allen as primary backup.

Darnold and Mayfield where high draft picks whose teams they were drafted to decided to part ways with them it happens.

If Byrce get dropped by the Panthers you think teams are going to be knocking down the doors for his service? He may end up on a practice squad as well.

So yea Dalton is playing today and if something happens in the course of the game Hendon will be taking snaps so yea the jury is still out on his potential.

Notice how Darnold and Mayfield never experienced time unemployed nor on a PS.

If Bryce were summarily released, I would expect that he would receive about as much interest as someone like Justin Fields. Relatively minimal but a couple of "We can fix him" types willing to take a cheap flier on him.

I disagree on Hooker and the NFL has largely disagreed. The Lions were a great place to develop someone like that but instead he caused them to sign more capable(and considered lower tier) backup QB's leading to his release after just two seasons. That's pretty bad.

And if you watch his two seasons of preseason/season play, the reasons become very obvious. He is not an NFL caliber QB.

Panthers will have to score 30 to win. We are playing a team that knows us very well. McDermott, Shaq Thompson and I think there is a couple of other former players on their roster. Saying that, I dont see us scoring 30. Bills will be looking for a knockout punch early. They wont get it but the will be up 10 by half. Final score 27-10 Bills

I had several posts in here and came around to pretty much the reality as the week went by.
Went from optimism to Panther realist and it played out much like my worst case with the bumbling and all that.
The biggest surprise to me in how this unraveled was Dalton’s mental regression. I suspected the physical but not that complete situational incompetence. That was the last thing I expected from him.

    • I’ll get killed for this but he always sounded gay to me. Not necessarily not gay, but feminine.  I tried to say it in a more subtle way and still got killed for it last year. fug it I don’t care it’s an honest opinion. I didn’t let that disqualify him and have been very patient and non critical. I just wondered how the big tough guys in the locker room would respond to that.  But whatever, I think he thinks too much from the emotional side. The rah rah positive deal, what must it sound like if he gets mad? Where is the tough hard ass side? The no empathy, get the job done or get gone. I wonder about that. It mean I doubt there is a lot of fear of failure going on.    So anyway to other comments about he sucks and all that, I said I needed a better reason to change my stance on him, which has been give him time. Continuity is super important.  This thing with the running backs is eroding the goodwill.
    • He has a 54 mil buyout so he will be fine but LSU needs o move on.
    • Sure if you just blindly look at stats, you can pinpoint a couple areas that look similar. But come on man that's lazy analysis. Instead of throwing lower percentage throws, Dalton held onto the ball unconscionably long, leading to several of those sacks including that unthinkable one at the end of the first half, inflating his completion percentage. Bryce for all his flaws, does a pretty good job of escaping pressure and scrambling for 5 yards or throwing it away. Dalton's pocket presence was just so incredibly bad today, which led to both of his lost fumbles. If Bryce would just hold onto the ball and get sacked every 3rd play instead of throw it away or try a contested pass, his completion percentage would be 15 points higher than Dalton's today. And Bryce only had more yardage in 3 of 7 games? You mean when we played run heavy schemes in our wins, instead of Dalton being forced to throw all game cause we're getting blown out?  Look anyone is more than justified in arguing Bryce Young doesn't have the tools to lead this team to a super bowl. But he has been head and shoulders better this year than what Dalton showed today. That was just an abysmal perfomance.
