I am not going to argue and say people don’t do that, but bro… you talking about two games. I am talking about .. all the other ones.

I haven't looked but im estimated guessing that Daniel Jones only flashed in NY when Barkley was balling out. And now hes doing well in Indy because JT is on pace for 30 TDs. I wasn't replying saying hes poo im just backing the brinks truck up for him in FA

I don’t understand your contention that Rico’s two great games or Daniel Jones and Taylor’s play have relevance to my point

Every QB benefits from a great running back. No argument. The point was clear, teams crowd the near field vs Young same as they did with Cam after he lost his gun. Because? They don’t fear being beat deep.

Yeah, Jones got carried by Saquan and now he's being carried by Jonathan Taylor who is probably the MVP at the halfway point of the season. Bryce has basically been ass per usual except when Rico is running for 200 yards.

Distressed assets are quality assets that are undervalued because of current management or ownership. Mayfield seems the perfect example. Browns and Panthers were what limited him. Not him.

Jones and Mayfield were acquired cheaply because of this.

Young doesn't fit this unless you think hes actually much better than he appears to be.

People forget how terrible Mayfield was here because it’s become popular to idolize him, since he’s found the perfect scenario for himself. But a 74.4 QB rating (worse than Bryce) a 1-1 TD-INT ratio (worse than Bryce) and a .200 win percentage (worse than Bryce somehow!) meant he was actually better than Bryce here. It’s great that people want to improve the QB room because it definitely needs it, if not an overhaul. But the whole “it wasn’t Baker’s fault” has to be from people who didn’t watch in 2022.

Wasnt Baker coming off injury when first here…i dont remember

the Rhule Fitterer years were a hot mess and the franchise is still paying

both Darnold and Baker csn play, and could play   They rose with better organizations and coaches …neither of which the Panthers had.

Im not sure what the Panthers have now

Gonna be interesting to see how the Colts handle that situation

If they're smart the same way the Vikings should've handled the Darnold situation. Franchise tag. I wouldn't want to pay Jones after one year of good play while being carried by a RB having an MVP caliber season. That would probably prove to be a mistake. The franchise tag might too but at least you're free and clear after a year if it is.

Franchise tag would be insanely expensive.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
