What to do about the Rico situation

When did the “you can get a RB anywhere” thing start? It’s never really made sense to me. You don’t see guys running like Rico grow on trees

Weird take when Rico was literally an undrafted FA and we signed him for peanuts because his former team didn’t value him. The guy they replaced him with they also signed for peanuts and he’s 5th in the league in rushing and 3rd in TDs.

I love how Rico runs, but I am not sure he can survive the season at this pace. It is such a difference with Rico is in there, he explodes into the hole. Chuba seems to stutter step into the line.

He runs so hard.  Watching him play through the groin pain was inspiring.  You could clearly see he was hurting but he wasn't going to let the team down.

WE NEED 53 just like him.

Rico is 3rd in the NFL in rushing despite only being the main back for 3 games. He's been the more physical back between him and Chuba and he just seems to set a certain tone of physicality when he's the one carrying the football. You have to find a way to bring him back and sort out the other pieces after that.

I think you have to deal Chuba by the deadline while his value is still somewhat modest. If we wait till the off-season other teams will just prefer to wait and see what's in the draft.

Seeing how well Rico has been playing in this offense part of me wonders what a healthy Jonathon Brooks could've done. I hope he can get healthy and rolling cause he's easily the most physically gifted RB on our team.

You guys certainly got a good running game and a good O line too. We couldn’t get to you guys at all. We only had 1 sack.

Yes Byrce for all the critique he receives myself included, he's elusive and tough to get down back there.

We experienced Andy last week and he was a statue and took 7 sacks.

Couple Byrce ability not to take sacks and Rico ability to get positive yardage,  very few negative plays, if they don't make costly turnovers it's a very good ball control offense.

Green Bay only had 3 drives in the 1st half and the last one was a 2 minute drive at the end of the half, so that's how the Panthers can compete with some of the better teams.

Top 5 in Production you know what counts.

What other metric are you defining it?

We just went in and beat a 5-1 team at home and the offense was fueled by the running game.

Tepper and some of the fans have been waiting for their "Ptarick Mahomes" to walk through the door for a few seasons now at the behest of other positions on the team how has that worked out so far?

We have a guy playing at an elite level and has ilus playing meaningful football in November since forever it seems.

And you guys want to act as if that's not a player we need, just wait until we get our Qb just wait....

And when is this QB arriving?

How often does that scenario play out in the NFL?

I seriously thought we were going to win when we tied it. I thought maybe we could force a 3 and out. Hats off to Bryce and you guys played with heart. You never gave up.

Pretty often? JK Dobbins is 4th in the NFL in rushing this year and he wasn't even signed until June for next to nothing. That's three out of the top 5 in the league today. All of the top 7 were outside of the first round.

So your opinion is that Rico's production is easily replaceable?

Yes. He’s playing extremely well now, but not something I see as sustainable and not worth locking up serious money into when younger/cheaper options and can be found pretty easily.

He's currently 7th in the NFL in yards from scrimmage despite starting 6 less games than anyone else near the top of the list.

If it's so easy to find that production why are the other names up there McCaffrey, Achane, Cooke, Taylor?

I don't think we should break the bank for him but I'd be fine with a Chuba level contract now, and he may command a lot more if he finishes the year like this
