It's pretty wild how much stripping Rozeboom of the green dot and giving it back to Trevin has helped them both. I truly was prepared to watch the worst LB room in the league after the first few games but they have improved since that happened.

Yeah, Rozeboom is clearly at his best when he is just told to do one thing and he doesn't need to think. Just tell him rush ___ gap or cover ___ zone and do not give him anything more to think about than that

i really do not see why people are so excited over scourton

i just see a high motor guy who doesn't really produce

Casual fans are so quit to talk about players not producing because they don’t stand out with sacks or stats. That’s the ultimate end goal, but for a rookie getting pressure and setting the edge at his position has been huge for us. I don’t think it’s been a coincidence that when him and princely started playing more we saw more effectiveness from our defense. Give these guys time and watch them develop, he may not be the next Pep. But I like what I see

Hes setting the edge? When was that exactly?

Actually, casual fans are quit (??) to see things they want to be real. Jacobs was getting over 5 yards a carry yesterday.

Oh man here we go, because I don’t have the patience to edit my post. Casual’s are “quick” to negate a player because of stats or the obvious sacks.

every position is this way too. He’s a rookie, and has shown flashes. And the fact you want to nit pick and point out Jacob’s YPC and IGNORE the fact we held Green Bay to 13 points is crazy. You don’t know ball man.

im beginning to hate this board. We just win a huge game, and confidence boost for our team and as a fan base we wanna complain about a rookie who has been obviously playing well. To the point of being recognized by many who have played in the NFL and receive money for knowing the game.

GTFOH bro. We ain’t perfect, but we have reason for optimism and pieces to grow with and Scourton is definitely one of them

I really don’t understand why my team went for it on 4th and 8 in the red zone instead of setting for a FG. We could have went to Overtime instead. Still we might have lost anyway but Lafluer was awful at coaching yesterday.

You’re right. Silly me to point out running back success.

what setting the edge really translates to is thrown interceptions, fumbles on screens and missed field goals.

They still had time to kick the game tying field goal on their next possession. They forced the panthers to kick a game winning field goal from 50 yards and in those conditions you take that every time

a touchdown at that point puts the game away with Bryce at qb. Plus, that edge was just being set so successfully you don’t know when you’re gonna get another opportunity.

lafleurs real fug up was going away from jacobs. But I guess he was so intimidated by the edge setting of scourton he panicked.

It was a tough loss especially at home. I don’t think we will bounce back.

Glad to see PFF also recognized Rozeboom had an outstanding game.

The fact that Zavala was the top guard backup over BC earlier in the year is comically bad - Zavala should only be playing oline when there is nobody left that is healthy...

Rozeboom recorded 15 tackles in the game.

He was plug and play for run defense and has done a very good job setting the edge.  Throw in his motor which you yourself complimented and he will develop into a more complete player who can pass rush.  Him playing great is one of the reasons our defense is playing so much better than last year.  Wonnum and Scourton are setting the edges and DB is eating up the interior.

If you are just watching stats for production Abdul Carter only has .5 sacks while Scourton has 2.  Few people are doubting what Carter can do with his high win %.
