This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion in Here)

Bear Hands

Nobody wants to wait a year on drafting a QB, but that's what you have to do sometimes.  If you don't like your hand, sometimes you have to fold and wait for the next one.  The error is thinking that every hand must be played.

We forced our own hand by deciding it was QB or bust in 2023.  Don't make the same mistake again being eager to replace Bryce.

I mean, you didn't contradict anything.  I've said he is a bad QB.   We went 4-3 with PJ Walker as the starter.   The lone human that we have managed to win around in the Tepper era.  Sure, he is a bad QB and turns the ball over.....but I already said he was a bad QB.   His ceiling of good is higher than Bryce. That's true.   Better tools and more threatening. There bads are comparable.   Bryce just can settle in to a level of non-threatening and nothing play that PJ can't.  He is more non-stop rollercoaster riding.

But again, PJ is more fun to watch....with a higher ceiling.

The fact is, if you are to accurately talk about the QB tier Bryce falls in.....the PJ Walker, Kyle Allen, types come into the convo.  Which says all you need to say about Bryce.

I would have to disagree. PJ Walker didn't accidentally end up with a 54.6% career completion percentage and a 1:2.7 TD to INT ratio by accident.

PJ had some of the worst field vision we have ever seen in the history of this franchise.

Yep, it's entirely prospect driven.  If they see a guy they love, by all means.  Moore, Mendoza, Mateer, etc. but we may not end up liking what those guys give us.

Could be Styles/Allen (LB), Faulk (ED), Tyson (WR), Lomu (OT), etc. and we wait while the team keeps getting better.

I don't have the time or energy to respond to all of the casuals but yes, if you cannot sit back and root for your team and the players on your team, you're a casual to me. You're caught up in things like jerseys, star power, stats, etc. Plain and simple, if you don't want to be happy after your team wins and you wanna nitpick every player, coach, decision over something you have absolutely no control over, do you boo.

Contrarily, I am such a huge fan that I have been cushioning the blows of my teams losses for years. If I bet the other side, it's a win win. I literally just paid for my tickets behind home plate in the world series watching my dodgers win again because I previously bet on the Blue Jays to beat them. The Jays won, I won a chunk of money and cushioned the blow, took the winnings and got incredible seats. I don't expect everyone to be able to understand this or afford this life style, but it's just what I do. I already admitted to losing thousands on betting against the panthers, I already ate my crow, I'm a man and can admit when I am wrong, I can laugh at my self and not take things like sports so seriously. I will most likely keep adding the panthers opponents to some of my lottery parlays too. Sue me!

I have read your hometown paper. Front page says you are insecure in your own skin and to make yourself feel better, you have to belittle others. It is a common tell. You’d think a master gambler would know a tell, but I guess self reflection isn’t your strong suit.
Further, as anyone who has talent or has achieved a high degree of proficiency at something can tell you - the real people don’t have to talk big to try and make themselves look like the big man on campus. They don’t have to.

The ones that crow about their abilities are generally the ones you don’t worry about. The people who know, know.
If a guy says he is okay, or plays a little, shows some humility, that is the guy you better look out for. The guy that talks about himself is a poser, 90 plus percent of the time if not 99.

You coming up in here bragging about your big money bets, gave you away. You have to put the big impressive dollar figures in so a bunch of anons on a message board are impressed? Okay. Another tell.
Well whatever, that can be overlooked but when you cross the line with the belittling of a number of people you get my attention.
Just stop putting your insecurities on us. We really don’t need your attitude of needing to demean others to puff yourself up.

And that’s why I called you an asshole. Just had enough of it.

All he did was win. If you can't see that, you don't know ball, you casual fan.

I know I've said it before but I don't see what is out there worth giving a ton on compensation, and any we know are much better than Bryce. It will be interesting to see who stays with today's NIL. Brendan Sorsby, Josh Hoover are guys I like but they could command more $ at top 10 program than being a day 2 pick.

I think if you Moneyball it, the point would be that you can get the same production for a lot less than committing 35-37 million or whatever it is, for 2026 and 2027.
Don’t even mention extension.

PJ's completion % was 63% when starting games in Carolina.  Which I believe is better than Bryce when starting.  And again, 4-3 as the starter here and the LONE QB Carolina has been able to actually win with in the Tepper era.

If you ask a gambling gunslinger to come into blowouts.....they are going to go down in a blaze of glory.  Which he would do.  Yeah, he isn't good.  And gunslingers are supposed to have rockier stats than checkdown QBs.   So....why does PJ Walker have a better comp % as a starter than Bryce Young.  And for every knock you want to make about PJ, you can find something or a skillset that PJ does better than Bryce.   I didn't say PJ had good field vision.  He doesn't.  Tell me about Bryce after he comes off the first read lol.

Let me repeat, PJ Walker is not a good QB.  He is NFL depth and an in house arm.

Bryce Young doesn't belong in a convo w/ Jake and Cam.  He belongs closer in a convo with the backup caliber QBs Carolina was forced into playing.  Which isn't just PJ Walker.  But Kyle Allen.  Moore.  Guys like that.

Yeahhhh I'm not sold on hitting that 5th year unless see some more improvement this year but do want him to play the 4th year out while we build this thing out.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this forum is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul".

Okay, a simple 'wrong' would have done just fine....
