This Bryce Guy (General BY Discussion)

I'll never change my mind about how absolutely unfit Bryce is to play this position, its not even close.  After picking up 3 turnovers from Purdy in the first half and all we had to show for was a pick of our own and 3 points I knew what was coming. So, I tuned into a few episodes of Ridiculousness so I didn't have to endure this ridiculousness.  Its a damn shame, they tried to hand us the game and we couldn't take it.

my thoughts

1.  If you dont think Canales is so fuging done with Bryce then I dont know what to tell you

2.  I dont give a fug what @Verge, @AceBoogie @Shocker@Bdawgor whoever, Bryce young is not a nfl qb

3.  I am now moving my draft thoughts up from drafting a dude in the mid rounds to going after one in the first.  Something has to change, it sucks not getting a top LB but we aint winning poo until we get a legit qb in here

4. Bryce young cannot be on this roster next year, I dont give 3 flying fugs if he goes to wherever next year and blows up the potential for whatever that was to happen on a game by game basis is insane.

5.  Oh and Canales fuging blows and I am praying its just Bryce holding him back but he looked like a middle school coach going against a super bowl level staff

1. He signed up for it so just run the damn ball.

2. He is a backup. Just not here hopefully.

3. Not drafting a QB should equal a complete flush of the staff. It matters where a lot less than who. Clean technique and coachable. They don't need a 3 year project IMO.

4. That fear is tied to other guys. If you fear Young than your time in the NFL is going to be short and brutal.

5. Duh. He is a Young quality HC. He will end up being a meh OC after this that depends on a HC to make him call a game the way he should.

American sports media is notoriously soft. Gotta remain professional.

Do you think it would have been asked in a market like NY, Philly, Det etc?  Because it would have been a perpetual question since the NO game if so.  At some point the question has to be asked, whether its this week or at the end of the year and I cannot wait for the canned Morgan/Canales answer.  That should be telling all together.  Do you think if you asked the Texans front office they wouldnt immediately say "yes we are absolutely picking up the 5th on CJ, thats a dumb question"

How the fug after that game last night can a beat reporter not ask about Bryce, the 5th year option and moving forward?  We have a bunch of cucks covering this team

With the way the team tries so hard to tightly control the narrative around Bryce Young even 41 games into his career where he has looked either mediocre or awful through the bulk of it at this point I think the Panthers would probably try to revoke the credentials of any reporter who attempted to ask questions like that.

I mean fug this guy, look at this horseshit throw.  Not only are his feet parallel to his shoulders the little fuging midget is jumping to throw the ball.  And he had no defenders and a blocker 9 fuging yards out.  What type of crap are we doing here?

Get this fuging ass off my team

The fact we have a QB who has to jump to throw is embarrassing.

    • If Mays has a market, which it seems he will, he's gone.  I think we bring back Nijman for too much money to be cautious at LT, Corbett comes back cheap since he's already said he wants to live in CLT, and Christensen eventually gets re-signed with the hopes he can be depth at some point.  Draft an OT, draft a C. The OL might be rough for stretches next year, but time to get some youth there to prepare for Bryce in 2027 or the next QB. I still think we compete for the division in 2026 and can go back to the playoffs unlike the oddsmakers in Vegas, but the *real* year is 2027 IMO. Either Bryce has proven it and he's the QB looking at his 2nd contract, or we have the ready-made team for the next rookie QB or Vet we trade for.
    • The Panthers are going to have a lot more flexibility in free agency than it looks like at first glance. On paper, the cap space might seem tight, but there are several obvious restructure candidates that could easily free up significant room. Between converting base salaries into signing bonuses and spreading cap hits out over future years, Carolina could realistically clear $60–80 million in additional space if they wanted to be aggressive. That kind of flexibility means they’re not stuck. They can extend key young pieces, add help along the offensive line, upgrade the defense, and still be strategic about value signings. Letting Cade Mays test the market makes sense from a leverage standpoint. If he’s willing to come back on a team-friendly deal, great, continuity on the line matters. But if his market price climbs, the Panthers should absolutely explore upgrades. The point is, this front office isn’t boxed in. With cap maneuvering and smart structuring, they have the ability to be active players in free agency rather than sitting on the sidelines like we are used too.
