I think canales tries a bit too hard to try and fool the other coaches.

As he should. Belicheat tried to fool the other coaches so hard, he had people filming other coach's practices and attending other team functions. And he did it to the tune of six championships. Whenever it is brought up, people say things like "you do everything you can to win" or "if you aren't pushing the envelope you aren't trying to win". These things make a difference. There is an advantage to your opponent not knowing who will and won't be on the field.

TMac got something. They limited h8s practice and reported it per the rules. Theres no trickery in play. Trickery would be suggesting hes playing for sure when hes not likely to. Trickery would be to force the opponent to consider more things than necessary.

Theres no trickery angle here. Thats covered by the rules around injury reports and practice participation.

Ugh, elevated Chisena from the practice squad today, that can't be a good sign for T-Mac playing tomorrow.

I think is worse news for Tremayne. They need special teams help with him questionable.  If T-Mac is down, XL, Coker, Horn, and Renfrow. No way Chisena gets meaningful snaps as WR, only on special teams.

Fair point, honestly didn't even realize he was listed as questionable as well, could still be for both of them in case either isn't able to go tomorrow.

That Canales said something like "we'll check him out tomorrow to make sure he's able to go" still makes me think they were still expecting him to play, as that would be a weird way to phrase it if they felt he was more likely to not be playing.

Still just hoping it would be like when a player feels something in a game, gets checked out, but goes back in.  And since it was just practice, once he felt anything, they just shut him down for the day to be safe.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
