The most damning assessment of Hubert...

We've had so many guys transfer out and be key contributors elsewhere, including guys that Hubert just flat out refused to play because he won't develop a bench. He's gonna find his five and he's gonna run them into the ground and then wonder why his team blows leads. Well, they're dog ass fuging tired is a big part of it. Isaiah Denis will probably be in this list next year. Top 50 recruit, competing offers from the likes of Kansas, Ohio State, Tennessee, etc. and we basically never saw him. High proved to be a competent player when he was forced into action after Caleb Wilson went down. He played five minutes last night and I don't think any after half even though Veesaar was visibly absolutely gassed down the stretch.

From Newsweek…. Sources told InsideCarolina that a coaching change is "likely" to be made in the coming days.

I generally hate to see someone lose their job and source of income, but Hubert has been so inept at almost every part of coaching, I'd applaud him being shown the door.

Hubert has plenty of money. I don't hate the guy. I think he a legit good guy. This is Ron Rivera all over again for me. It's just very obvious a coaching change is needed and it audka we gottaboart ways with a good guy and I'd much rather it work out but the same issues appearing again and again year after year are clearly shouting what needs to happen.

With that said, if we hire Todd Golden, that's it. I'm out. I'd greatly prefer to just keep getting disappointed by Hubert. I can at least stand to root for that.

Why? He is a winner.

Yep, they are working out details on how to do it so it's not a firing by name and lowering the buyout as well.

I'd just give him his full buyout and let him resign. Seems the best way out. Hubert gets his money and we avoid having to fire a DES player and Roy's long time lead assistant. Just tell him, listen you're out one way or the other. We're paying you out one way or the other. Are you gonna make us fire you or would you save us both some face and resign? Your call.
