We have been lacking YAC from our offense. Hopefully this trend will continue and DC can scheme these guys into positions to get YAC and Bryce can get them the ball on target.

The ball placement by Young was alot better yesterday allowing the recievers to continue their routes through the pass

I do think some of their success was from Canales putting them in position for YAC. I didn't give him enough credit in the OP but he called a really good game.

Yes, he was consistently throwing it in front of them instead of behind like he has in the past lol

The only reason Bryce threw for as many yards as he did was the yards after catch. TMac is turning out to be the best draft pick of the decade for this team. Coker was a good find. And if Legette can just manage to catch SOME of the balls that hit him in the hands in the end zone he will put up some good numbers.

The recievers bailed him out on some early throws, I think it help calm his nerves.  Bryce had a really good game yesterday and I was impressed by some of his passes

Super overlooked aspect.  That bog YAC catch for tmac early was such a big play by the rookie.  The pass was high and away, and if he doesn't catch or atleast get his hands on it, it's being fired right at the safety.

That's normally what happens when any QB puts up big numbers

    • I understand why people say things like it could be worse in relation to Tepper but it just doesn't jive for me. Are the optics bad? Yes. Would I want her to be the owner of my team? No. But I mean she's only been owner for a year and the Colts overall are a better run organization. As far as I know they've also never had the distinction of having the worst win percentage in all of professional sports either. Tepper has owned this team for 8 years and about the only thing that has been consistent has been the ability to continue to find different ways to achieve new lows. Even now people are saying things are different yada yada but we said these same things at certain points under Rhule Fitterer and Reich. I'm going to wait to see how the rubber meets the road this upcoming season before I make any strong conclusions about anything in relation to the longevity under this franchise going forward.
    • This is a toughie because I wonder what a guy like Canales thinks about redemption stories for addiction issues. Also, I think this is a case of 1 player getting caught, and not being naive enough to think this isn't more common in college than we think. I'd toss a 3rd rounder out there. 2026 is essentially a redshirt season regardless, so he's not taking over for any NFL QB next year. Best case, he's ready to go in 2027 if we pass on Bryce's extension. Worst case, he's our future backup QB2. Kid has the tools to be an NFL QB. I do think we could somehow land a '26 3rd round pick back in a trade. Our past years' third rounders are: Brazzell Princely Wallace DJ Johnson Matt Corral All this to say, I could see a team like the Jets going w/ a 2nd. They have three FRPs next year.
