Waiting for Dave to run the ball 55 times right up the middle with the box loaded and then be at the press conference like “see it didn’t work”

You have to be able to pass the ball so everyone isn’t at the line of scrimmage.  I don’t know that I believe in DC but I believe he has a plan to expose BY once and forever

I’m trying to figure out if he is a solid OC, his game plan and play calling suck, that’s what a good OC is supposed implement week in and week out. I’m just not seeing it.

Functional is solid but it's not going to wow you. Looks at GB vs SF. That's the honest range IMO. Solid is still better than we have seen recently but it's still not good regardless.

I was just being sarcastic so Dave can blame the run game for not working. I think so too, if and when we are eliminated from the playoffs we will probably see it.

With Young and Canales, this team has both arms tied behind their back. Hard to win when the two most important parts of a football team fail. A running team getting 4.75 yards a carry that doesn't run the ball. Putting the game on a QB who is constantly inconsistent and expecting good things.

Two most important people on the field are betas with zero leadership skills. I can’t wait until they’re both gone.

If you trot Brycie out there again next year or pick up his option there will be some serious dissention among the troops. Who is going to put forth effort while getting their bodies busted up only to know we really don't have a chance at winning. They know he is terrible. I only  saw 2 wins on the schedule at the beginning of the year and our record is a fluke. I'm as surprised as anybody. Trying to win with Brycie is like trying to win the Daytona 500 in a Ford Escort.

Mediocre really. Inconsistent but has good and bad games. Not bad but also not good so mediocre. Bryce does limit his playbook but I also remember him in Tampa being the same. It why why they interviewed him I was vocal about his shortcomings which seem the same 2 years later too

He is typical ball control play action take some deep shots that has been done in the league forever.  It is sound if you have the players. It isn’t innovative or exotic or flashy which attracts a lot of people.

He has never been consistent enough with the running which is his MO tho and that becomes the thing that trips him up the most. Since Tampa he has games where he 'can't call running plays' like on Monday.

It should be easy to do with decent personel, especially in the cheap RB era.

And the concept of using two backs in the backfield seems very perplexing to him

I was really going off of what I saw in Tampa. And with Andy a little. Can’t do that with Young.
And yeah he is no Dan Henning/Fox with the stubborn attitude of we are run it and run it and run it some more.

Is he ADHD where he forgets he is supposed to be running it? Kidding. Maybe it is the WR coaching background that overrides the commitment to running it.

He seems like the inverse of Ron/Fox ball. Where it should be run first but he wants to pass it instead. It lost Carroll a SB so it's that same gist as that. Functional but just like the other they tend to look to their kinks and it goes sideways at times.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
