So the NFL is recognizing Bryce's game, but his "fans" are saying he isn't worthy. Lawd make this make sense. Now I see what Smitty meant. Geez!

That's how it is for every QB short of Mahomes. Cam was amazing but had plenty of critics. I think panthers fans are split on Young like dolphins fans are with Tua.

The league and sports media at large has been salivating for Bryce Young to "arrive" since before he was even drafted. It's the Alabama effect.

You're right. I remember 2 years ago a bunch of Cowboys fans were complaining about Dak. Same with Ravens fans and Lamar. Like they legit wanted to replace them. I just sat there like... huh?!

Hahaha. I think they do want him to be successful but it's more like the Steph Curry effect. They want normal humans to think they can actually be NFL players.

I'd throw Josh Allen in with Mahomes.

Are Dolphin fans still split on Tua? I thought he was pretty much toast.

(I know McDaniel is)

He is certainly durable for his size I'll give him that. Whether or not he'll actually carve out a Doug Flutie kind of career remains to be seen. He has the benefit of playing in an era of the league that many former QB's would envy let's be honest. I think it really comes down to his desire to continue to overcome adversity and work on his craft. Whatever happens to conclude this season he will certainly be here next year and my hope is that he enters the upcoming offseason highly motivated to build on any progress he's made. The last thing we need is a repeat of the last 3 offseasons.

206 yards passing gets nominated for this now?  What are we even doing here?!?!

Might have more to do with three touchdowns.

Gimme 3 TDs and 84 yds passing and I'm going to be okay with that.

Give me 1 TD, 422 yards passing and 3 INTs... well, nah.

The number of yards matters much less than where those yards were on the field.

Allen hasnt won a SB so even though he's great, he probably has a couple of detractors. I think most phins fans are over Tua by now. Phins fans probably felt similar to us when he was on his rookie deal though. Im worried we will feel like them if Young gets a big contract here.

Fair, though Mahomes is also having something of a "back to earth" season this year.

    • Thank you so much for posting links to the players so I don’t have to copy and paste the name and look it up.
    • All signs point to legit. We’ve been way better than our record the last few years it’s just we’ve had brutal injury luck. Also I’ve watched nearly every game this year and 3 things have stood out to me even when healthy from early in the year to now: 1. Early on Lee had some brutal rotations and situational coaching but he’s improved a ton there. We lost some close ones early we should’ve won. Sure most our recent games have been blowouts but in close games we’ve improved a ton there. 2. Defense. Overall team defense has improved so much, it’s not just hot shooting winning games. This D is absolutely a real trend and sustainable. LaMelo in particular has gone from flat out bad defensively to above average. We have so much length we always should’ve been good defensively but it took time for guys to buy in and really hone in on it which they have.   3. Pretty much all our young guys have taken strides forward. Moose’s development as a passer has been insane, Miller is putting it all together to be an elite 3 tier scorer able to hit 3s, mid range and finish at the rim. LaMelo still some poor shot selection but has cut the turnovers considerably. Kon has been a great shooter all year but has steadily improved in other aspects of the game too.      It has definitely been surprising how quickly it all came together out of nowhere but really none of it surprises me. We’ve been building towards this for years now.
