Bye Week Trivia- Without cheating, what are the top four colleges attended by players on the 53 roster??

Alabama just seems like the easy answer to choose for any team these days.

After that, I'd guess ND is on the list just since we seem to have all their TE's in school history on the roster right now.

Probably also South Carolina

Then the last I actually feel like I remember seeing the Panthers tweet out a picture of players all from one school on our roster right now and thinking "man that's a random school to have so many players from"

Was it Ole Miss?

Alabama - Bryce, Robinson (bound to be another one or two knocking around)

USCe - Legette, Horn, Dowdle (probably someone else knocking around)

Notre Dame - Tremble, Evans

Texas - Brooks, Sanders

If we're sticking to the 53 man roster rule then, erm... Texas A&M

I'd normally play it safe and say Alabama, Ohio St and Georgia - but I can only think of Etienne from Georgia and Ransom from OSU (granted I've no idea where half the FAs went to school).

South Carolina has to be 1

Then in no order....Alabama, Notre Dame, A&M?

Winn er Winner, dang I thought this would be harder for the huddle. Congrats to Both.

SC is #1 with 5.

Bama is just like the remaining 3 players, @OldhamA Ray was the other you missed DLman LaBryan Ray.

ND also is where thee legend JJJ is form.

A&M is the school I thought would be the hardest to guess.

Ah the Long Snapper. Clutch.

Who are the other A&M players besides Scourton?

There is no way I'm going to try and do the research into this, but I wonder what the answer to this question would be if it wasn't just where a player finished their career, but just played in general.

In today's NCAA portal landscape, some NFL teams could be carrying like 15-20 players who all played for the same school at some point, lol

Bobby Brown (backup DL, signed this offseason...like you don't know.....)

Demani Richardson (UDFA STer that stuck since last year)

You got one new guy that gets like 12 snaps and a STer that gets like 7 only on ST. I thought it would stump many for a day or two.

I was thinking about that when I was thinking of posting this question in the bye week. It the "recent" past..... it was a reg flag to see a player with more than one school.....now its almost common to have 3.....I forget the player,he was a DE and he had 6 schools in 6 years.....a god dang mercenary

    • I am not worried about the contracts because any/all can be jettisoned in 2027 with minimal ramifications. I would like to land him because you rarely ever see an elite, 25 year old center hit free agency, this is a very weak center class and Mays is a bottom quarter starting center(love him as a utility IOL).  Ideally this offseason we solve center and draft a high caliber RT/LT to fill the gap for Ikey. Then next offseason, pending outcome of the rookie and Ikey's recovery you can jettison Hunt(VASTLY overpaid), make a determination on Ikey's ability to play(perhaps extend him on the franchise tag as a "prove it"), and let the Ikey/rookien situation dictate Moton. He can be extended on a LOWER cost deal or jettisoned if Ikey and the rookie can take the reigns. Either way, both OT's will need to be resolved, we need an actually starting caliber NFL center again and we need to get rid of one of these OG's. Hunt is the obvious choice as Lewis is substantially better across the board and cheaper.
    • That's not a thing. If they can't find someone, they either aren't actually trying or it's a poisonous job and no one will.  Yes, plenty of them have gone with whom they wanted already. That's not really the point of the rule. It's to force teams to provide opportunities. It has worked well because coaches that wouldn't normally be given interviews are given that experience and teams have also been impressed enough to either offer them in the future or pass positive comments along to other NFL owners/front office personnel.  Also, we are over 20 years into the Rooney Rule. This isn't some new thing teams have to navigate.
    • I mean, as soon as Svech scores on the guy, trot out your best shooters while the goalie is still in his head and go for the kill.  Last night made absolute zero sense.
