It isn't just that they're not mathematically out.

In order for what you suggested actions to take place, the Panthers would have to believe they're out.

Nothing I've seen indicates that's even in the realm of possibility right now.

We all knew the "reality" that the Rams were going to walk all over us too.

I'm not ready to say we'll make it, but I've seen enough weirdness this season to not bet huge money against anything.

Dave Tepper talking points?

Owens is probably the best player in this scenario, but Lord knows there have been plenty. Antonio Brown is another that comes to mind.

George had fantastic physical traits and ability but Ryan Leaf level attitude.

Lol. Probably?

George and Johnson are similarish level NFL players. Terrell Owens was a HOFer. That will get you a lot more leeway than most other players. And I think people don't appreciate what an insanely elite guy TO was. He was almost a 1k WR at 37.

TO is a top 10 WR of all time, probably top 5. Hell, you can make a compelling argument that he's #2.

I think they are so all in on Young that he gets an off-season big money extension.

I'm not ready to say that just yet. If it goes the way I predict it to go then I will admit it is a real possibility.

I expect Ewers to extend the list of starting QB's that are worse than Bryce.

I don't like that at all. It's just more ammo for the Forever Brycers inside our franchise.

Bryce was already better than Tua this season.

Yeah, I think people's memories of TO the person dramatically shadow what a truly insane player he was. He was a DK Metcalf level of fitness freak with basically near Jerry Rice level competitive spirit.

He was an absolute terror in a time where DB's could absolutely mug elite WR's.

Honestly, I have this fear, as well.

I don't think think there is a gap between what the coaching staff, FO and ownership thinks of Bryce and what the general public/fanbase thinks. I think there is a chasm.

IMO, they are basically ready to hand this guy the keys to the franchise and for all the "if Dave Canales had..." lines of logic that people spout, I think he may be bought in the hardest of anyone outside of Tepper.

Number two would put him over guys like Fitzgerald, Irvin, Harrison and Megatron.

Not sure I could go that high.

I have no idea what the thought on Bryce is inside the building or how much pressure Tepper is putting on the situation but fear of Tepper's Panthers doing something utterly idiotic is very well founded.
