Pros and Cons of Running Exclusively Wildcat Next Week and Potentially Playoffs (as well as the rest of Bryce’s tenure on the roster

I’ve said it multiple times in other threads already and I’ll say it again. Jimmy Clausens worst game he had 7/13 completions for 36 yards and 1 INT. Bryce was not far off from that today in the biggest game of his career. Clausen wasn’t in his third year either…he was a rookie with a coach (John Fox), who didn’t even try, just out of spite because he was a lame duck coach.

Tampa isn’t Seattle.

we pretty much know what Dave does with Bryce.   The safe plays will generate more O vs Tampa.

issue will be can we outscore Tampa in Tampa and will Bryce hit his 2-3 real passes

Clausen only had 13 pass attempts

Twitter is claiming you would have to go back to 1980 to find less pass yards with a QB getting 24 attempts.  We might of witnessed legit franchise history again

At what point do we no longer play it safe all game every game on offense? You have to be able to score to win consistently in this league. I'm curious if he thinks it's a QB or skill group problem. Or maybe everybody is just totally clueless and it's the blind leading the blind

Annnnnnnnnd go…

Pro: 500 yards of offense and 8 TDs

Con: We have a QB controversy going into the playoffs once we find out that both Rico and Chubba throw a better deep ball than Bryce.

Against tougher defenses we see what happens when Bryce attempts to be aggressive.  That floater that ended up being a pick is what happens.  I know you know this, but I’m just saying for posterity…  they’re not being safe because the plays aren’t there to be made.  They’re playing it safe because the alternative is multiple turnovers.  And again, I just don’t understand how anyone worth their salt hitched their wagon to someone who hamstrings their entire offense like this.

And I maintain, the grace that has been given to Bryce has never ever been given to a QB before him and likely never will after.  Had guys like Clausen and Rosen been given 3 years for a team to be beaten over the head like Neegan did Glen with how shitty they are, I GUARANTEE, Clausen and Rosen would’ve had some 300+ yarders with 3 TDs.

The sad thing is you know from the start with Young

…and timid becomes more timid and that’s all she wrote

I’d change up the receivers, replacing Legette with Moore. Do something different

id also bring in Etienne for a change of pace

moore, being a veteran can probably help with breakdowns and the improvisation those breakdowns happen

There is no rhythm to what Canales calls either

I mean, no slants….no 10 yards routes….i know they were in 2 high safety but that leaves the middle

I feel like Canales and idzik constantly get out coached and or can’t adjust to certain looks
